By the time you hop on the bike in a triathlon, you’re already thinking of countless things: your biometrics, nutrition, the clock, and the competition. Your rig and equipment shouldn’t be on that list. One critical area of comfort, both on and after the bike, is the shoes you wear for the ride, and that’s where the Louis Garneau Tri X-Lite Women’s Shoes come in.
Working from the tarmac up with its stiff Ergo-Air carbon composite outsole, the X-Lites are incredibly breathable. Chalk that up to LG’s relentless commitment to ventilation across its entire product line. It knows that the drier your feet, the less likely you are to blister and sabotage your run when the ride ends. Helping further reduce in-shoe heat and moisture is the shoes’ mesh upper, and the wide hook-and-loop closure strap teams up with LG’s proprietary Heel Retention System to keep the foot from shifting and creating uncomfortable friction while pedaling. LG thinks of the little details, too: A small puller cord inside the shoe allows the bike to be set up with the shoes in a horizontal position for faster mounting when coming out of the water. Of course, this women’s version of the X-Lite features construction, fit, and styling that’s specific to the shape of a woman’s foot.
The Louis Garneau Tri X-Lite Women’s Shoes are compatible with any 3-bolt mounted cleat system and include the company's Coolmax Ergo Air insoles. A single size 38 shoe weighs in around 192 grams. You can order them in sizes 36 to 43 (including half sizes from 38-42) and in the color White.
