Neo Power Motion Short

Blending the compressive benefits of the Power+ material and the non-pinching fit of Endurexx leg bands, Louis Garneau's Neo Power Motion Shorts deliver a supportive and comfortable fit, all without the restrictive feel of bibs. And with the redesigned Hitop waistband that sits higher than traditional men's waistbands, the shorts stay in place better than ever while providing the extra support that you'd normally find in this area when wearing bib shorts. Whether you're a rider looking for shorts to wear under your chamois-less winter tights, or you simply don't like the tug of mesh straps over your shoulders, the Neo Power shorts are a worthy addition to your cycling wardrobe.

The heart of the shorts is the Motion Air Gel chamois, which presents a recessed center channel to keep the perineum safe, and a stretchy face of Cupron fabric up against your skin. The gel padding is ventilated, and additional vents at the front keep you dry and limit the bacteria fighting that the Cupron has to do. The rest of the shorts enjoy anti-chafing seams throughout to eliminate irritation, and there's even lazer-cut perforations on the waistband for some added ventilation. Finally, reflective accents help keep you visible to other road users in low-light conditions.

  • Cycling shorts to improve your comfort on the bike

  • Motion Air Gel chamois provides cushion and ventilation
  • Endurexx leg bands secure the fit without pinching

Improper fit for men

I've used it several times
Size Bought:
6' 4"

Were these shorts not labeled for men, I'd swear they were designed for women. Too tight in the crotch, the leg bands do not hold the shorts in place, the legs crawl up and bunch at the top of the thigh. Very uncomfortable. Could barely get into the XL even though they are sized for my waist (36-37"). The XXL were ok in the waist but no crotch room whatsoever. Not wearable.

LG Shorts

I've used it several times
Size Bought:
5' 7"

I tried these shorts outside my normal Pearl Izumi. Size is good and comfortable, i did pack on some belly so the waist band rolls abit now. comfort is good and different. Trying new gear is sometimes expensive, but worth the knowledge and experience.

Firstly, the chamois, the Motion Airgel. It's blue, has a more solid feel to it and is the most comfortable chamois I've ever had the pleasure to ride on. No more sitting on an oversize foam pad or a wet diaper. Second, the waistband. The flat elastic band was new to me and I like it. While I've found that it does fold over during rides, so does every other waistband I've ever worn, and this with no cord to further restrict, I find it a definite improvement. Third, the inseam - it's long. It comes down to about an inch above my kneecap. Perfect for my rather thin thighs. Fourth, everything else - is fine. Nice compressive fabric. The thin flexi grippers do their job invisibly. I'd like to try some of those pricy Assos (etc) shorts sometime, but a can't imagine that they justify the upcharge from these shorts.
