Garneau Enduro Bib Knickers 3

Whether we're riding off-road or on the road, the Louis Garneau Enduro Bib Knickers 3 provide added lower-body warmth and critical knee insulation for days when regular bib shorts with knee warmers won't cut it. Garneau constructed the Enduro Bib Knickers out of their HeatMaxx fabric, which is a Roubaix-type fabric with a smooth outer surface and a brushed micro-fleece liner to keep cyclists warm without restricting movement or feeling bulky. There are six panels, stitched together with friction-minimizing flatlock seams so that the knickers conform to our movements. The 4-way stretching Airzone chamois found in the Enduro Bib Knickers has dual-density foam to provide the right amount of cushioning, and it's perforated to help it breathe and transfer moisture away from the skin. Additionally, the edges of the chamois are tapered to eliminate pinching and chafing. The top of the Airzone is treated to minimize odors in case we have to skip a wash or two on our 'cross or bike touring getaway.

  • Knickers for cool-weather cycling in comfort
  • HeatMaxx fabric is smooth and soft
  • Microfleece lining is comfortable and warm
  • Four-way stretch ensures you can move freely
  • AirZone chamois provides comfort and cushion
  • Treatment reduces the buildup of odors
  • Powerband hem secures the position without squeezing

No Compression, No Stability

I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
5' 9"

I have had these for over four years now. I've ridden with them a lot. They do keep me warm. I'll give them that. Unlike my Castelli and Gore knickers, they don't stay up without the straps on. I don't ride without the straps on; that just demonstrates their lack of compression. Even with the straps on they do not stay in place. They move around when I ride and can get caught on the nose of the saddle after standing. Kind of reminds me of what shorts often did before I switched to bibs. Should I have bought a medium? Perhaps. Still, I think they would lack compression no matter the size.

Runs large

I've used it several times
Size Bought:
5' 9"

I usually wear a Medium in bibs but these are oversized. No compression in the middle but fit okay through the thighs. Chamois is too large but at the same time a lot of room left over in that area. "Things" move around. Fabric seems fine but the fit can't get me to like these. I have other Louis Garneau shorts and mediums fit well making this a surprise disappointment.

Liked them so much I bought it twice

I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:

Bought the first pair in 2013 and put it through the ringer. When it wore out I just wanted a new pair of exactly the same knickers. Super comfy, fits great, warm and breathable, chamois is good for really long rides (50-80 miles), and at a budget-friendly price point! Perfect for shoulder season rides in the PNW. 10/10 would recommend to a friend
