Performance through minimalism.

If you prefer to ride without any gloves at all, but recognize the highly impractical chance you’re taking in leaving your palms open to road rash, the Giro Zero Glove may just be the glove you need. Minimalist, yet comfortable, they will cushion and protect your hands without interfering with bar feel.

What we like most about these gloves is the complete lack of any closing mechanism. The Zero Gloves reflect the fact that we are not the only ones who have suffered from hook-and-loop stuck to everything syndrome. The sleek pull on-pull off design keeps the glove lighter and lower in profile. Giro added easy to grab mini pockets on the top of the fingers to make them easier to get off after a hot ride.

Taking them off is one thing; making sure they fit well is a whole different kettle of fish. Gloves that bunch up and cut off circulation to the fingers are just about the worst. Giro uses their Super Fit Engineering process to develop the gloves in a way that guides the fit, design, and patterning of every Giro glove. Essentially, they tailor the palm, fingers, and padding to conform to the various hand shapes and sizes. And, they offer six sizes from which to choose.

Giro recognized that over-padding gloves was a common problem, and used their Three-Piece Palm construction to make sure padding was sufficient without impacting bar feel and control. Giro designed the Zero’s palms to mirror the hands’ features and articulated movements, improving grip while keeping the tender and heavily used spots cushioned.

The Zero Gloves offer the comfort and control of high-quality leather while mitigating the effect moisture typically has on leather by using Pittards for the palms. Pittards uses Cabretta, or hairsheep, leather because it is so thin and durable that it’s ideal for protecting your palms without hindering control. Pittards leather goes through a special tanning process to help the leather to absorb less water and resist sweat better than the other leathers and synthetics.

The uppers are made from a microfiber, and wick moisture away from the skin. Available in X-Small through XX-Large, the Giro Zero Gloves come in Black.
