Lookin' sharp, Miss.

The dilemma of many who commute by bike is often finding clothes that can function well on the bike but not look too dorktacular once you arrive. With this in mind, Giro spun its New Road collection, and within it, you'll find distinct but tasteful style in the form of pieces like the Giro Women's Long-Sleeve Mobility Shirt.

Long known for its timeless look and soft feel, chambray was the chosen fabric for the Mobility. However, while most chambrays are made solely of cotton, Giro blended in a small amount of Lycra for a bit of stretch. This keeps the shirt moving with you while on the bike without the bunching and pinching common among standard button down shirts. Along these same lines, Giro cut the Mobility slim, which keeps it sleek and close to the body. Slightly longer-than-average sleeves hold the cuffs down at the wrists while extended over the bars, and the drop-tail hem ensures your lower back remains covered while in the seated pedaling position.

While the fit was refined through real-world testing, so too were the finishing details. These include covered front buttons, which serve to both block the wind and add to the overall aesthetics, as well as a hidden chest pocket.

The Giro Women's Long Sleeve Mobility Shirt comes in the colors Jet Black and China Blue, and in five sizes, from X-Small to X-Large.

Simple, comfortable, great fabric.
Lives up to the name, with breathable fabric that has fantastic mobility.
I wear it on and off the bike.
And it is a killer price!

I don't ride in it, but it's still great

I wish more clothing companies would take the approach Giro has taken to active women's fashion; make things practical. I don't commute to work in this shirt (because my commute is long) however, I do wear it in my office, where I tend to be moving around all day. The last thing I want to wear is something I can't swing kettle bells in, when the mood strikes. It fits really well, doesn't hold wrinkles, and doesn't hold smells either. I've purchased two I love this shirt so much

Great Commuter Dress Shirt

  • Fit: True to size

I have this shirt in both colors. While it is not as comfortable or as flashy (eye-catching) as a bike jersey, it is dressy enough to wear on the job. It is comfortable. I work in an office and have received one compliment on the shirt. My commute is short (4 miles), and I like being able to wear the same clothes on the job that I wear in the saddle.

It's heavy and dull-colored. I sent it back and will grab my old reliable chambray shirt instead.
