Train smarter, run faster.

Designed for the savvy athlete looking to step up their running and triathlon training, the Garmin Forerunner 935 GPS Watch offers a slew of advanced exercise features in a slimmed-down design. Advanced running and multi-sport features include a barometric altimeter for tracking elevation changes, built-in GPS for tracking speed and distance, wrist-based heart rate, training status to determine if you're overdoing it, and rich running dynamics like lactate threshold and VO2 max. Increased battery life allows you to train longer and run farther, lasting up to 24 hours in GPS mode and 50 hours in UltraTrac mode.

Not only is it ideal for running, swimming, cycling, but it supports cross-country skiing, paddling, trail runs, hikes, and strength training, among others. To customize its use to your preferred outdoor activities, you can create tailored workouts with the Garmin Connect app (for both iPhone and Android). For additional running statistics, you can pair the Forerunner 935 with a compatible heart rate monitor or running pod. Using the Garmin Running Dynamics Pod (not included) gives you cadence, stride, length, ground contact, balance, and vertical oscillation stats.

Great watch. Does pretty. Ugh everything. Newer version might have music, which, I admit would be a nice option for running.

    Lifestyle Fitness Tracker + Athletic

I bought this watch to use as a tracker for when I wasn't on my bike where I have a power meter to capture data. I use this watch to measure things like training stress of hiking, skiing, my sleep tracking, and resting heart rate. This watch is awesome so far giving me metrics to add to my collection of data that is ongoing 24/7 even when I sleep. You can add cool widgets like air quality, weight tracking, and many more. When synced up with Garmin connect, strava and training peaks, you just feel dialed.

A Great Do It All Watch

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have owned this watch for a little over a year and I have been impressed. I went from not being a watch wearer to not being able to go a day without it. This watch does it all, activity tracking, ABC, HR, etc. It is lighter, slimmer, and smaller than the Fenix, but has all of the same capabilities. I can't think of a way to improve this watch unless you are looking for music storage. I don't usually listen to music while mountainbiking or running, so not a big deal for me but it might be something to look forward to in the next iteration. Overall, a great do it all watch.
