While much of what Assos does at its Swiss facility is kept tight-lipped, we do know that the cycling apparel it continually produces is some of the best in the world. This is also true for its casual line, known simply as the DB, or 'Dopo Bici,' collection. This term directly translates to 'after bike,' which makes sense seeing that the apparel is cut more generous and constructed differently than its race wear. But, similar to its race lineups, it still relies on the same advanced materials and the small details that are crucial to all things Assos. Such is the case with the DB.91 socks, which, upon first glance, look like your standard mid-length socks. But, let us reassure you, these are anything but average.
The Assos DB.91 socks were constructed using an ultra-soft blend of compact elastane and polyamide fibers. This fine composition is reminiscent of an ultra-thin dress sock, but its makeup is slightly more substantial and wicks moisture much better. The tall cuffs extend up higher than most of your tall cycling socks, and were finished off with slightly compressive bands to secure them in place. The heels and toes use reinforced layers of the same material in order to add a bit of cushioning, which also increases the socks' overall durability. At the mid-foot zones, Assos applied tightly woven compressive bands that serve to support your feet at the arches. Small logos adorn the tops of the cuffs, rounding out these sheer socks from Assos.
The Assos DB.91 socks are available in the sizes 0 (35-38), I (38-42), and II (43-46) and in the colors Black and White.
