The last thing you want when you're bombing a rooty treeline is for your shorts to restrict your movement, and Yeti Cycles understands that. With attention they've given to women in the mountain bike world, it's no surprise that they push forward into tech-loaded clothing to support us when we charge head on into all-mountain adventures. The Yeti Norrie Shorts are designed for women who want to shred without fussy gear.

The Norrie Shorts are built tough, with heavyweight stretch polyester that holds up to the inevitable crash, and topped with a DWR coating to keep dewy branches from leaving you soaked. At the waist, you'll find adjustable webbing to dial in the fit, and silicone grippers that lock the hem into place. Additionally, the back is equipped with a stretch yoke in the back that moves with you when you're putting down the power up steep and sketchy switchbacks. The crotch features seamless gusseting for total range of motion, while boosting durability in the easiest spot to blow out shorts. We all know how frustrating it is to find that women's gear isn't loaded with the pocket space we need for storing things, but the Norrie Shorts are an exception to that with two deep hand pockets, a zippered thigh with room for your phone, and a hook-and-loop back pocket for your nutrition stash on long rides.

  • Shred-ready shorts for women who rip
  • 12-inch inseam gives you coverage on crashes
  • Burly stretch-polyester stands up to abrasion
  • Adjustable waist keeps in place with no fuss
  • Enjoy free range of motion with gusseted crotch
  • Loaded with pockets for stashing essentials

Great shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love how these fit and they've been super comfortable on 2-3 hour rides (I haven't tried them on longer rides yet, but plan to next season).

Thin flimsy nylon Yeti won't back

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Within two weeks the exterior fabric on the leg tore. Inside lining was still perfectly intact. Yeti says they will warranty apparel unless there is a crash or misuse. In this case they didn't try to cite either, but simply claimed it wasn't covered, but they found it odd the lining didn't tear. What?!?! These are too expensive a short to refuse to stand behind after too few uses. She demoed a Beti to consider it as her next bike purchase after 7 years. A demo won't tell you that a company's warranty and customer service are worthless. Glad we learned to rule them out after $100 shorts instead of their expensive bike.

Yay Yeti

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Really like these shorts, the fabric is durable and can take a gnarly branch to the thigh at high speeds. The cell phone pocket is a perfect location for riding lifts or when you wanna go light on the gear for a pedal. Would buy these again and recommend to a friend.

Love these shorts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Comfortable with chamois shorts underneath. Flattering. I love the zippered pocket. Liked them so much I came back to buy another pair.

Great shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought these as a gift and she loves them. The length is perfect and she likes the positioning of the pockets which are also deep enough to carry stuff without falling out. She's 5'4" 140lbs and the medium fit perfect.

comfortable, but worn

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am 5'5'", weigh 125 lbs and size small fits very comfortably with enough room to feel baggie but still flattering for women. I have put tons of miles on these shorts, with some 9+ hour days in the saddle and was always comfortable in them. However, my complaint is that the butt wore through in their second season and left me to ride the rest of the weekend by duct taping my shorts together. Although they made it many miles before tearing through, I've had other shorts last way longer without wearing through in the saddle.
