Bought rack for my 1997 tacoma so I can carry my quiver of bikes safely and securely. These were super easy to install and holds 4 bikes with ease. Super happy with yakima as always.

Very strong towers

I used a set of these for more than 20 years on a camper shell, hauling boats, ladders, wood, and all manner of other things. Sold them with the truck and camper shell. It took some searching to find them again for a new truck and shell, and they are exactly like the ones I sold and loved so much. You may find that the towers are a little short as I did on the new truck. It is relatively straight forward to make 1 inch thick aluminum spacer blocks to gain height, replacing the 1 inch flange head bolt with a 2 inch galvanized one, and the 2 inch rivet with a stainless steel binding post. Careful work with a chop saw and a drill press is required.

Yakima towers

I've been using these towers for as long as I can remember. This set has outlasted two vehicles and is on #3. Right now I have them set up on the camper shell of my Toyota pick up and haul everything from bikes to boats to ladders to christmas trees. In my humble opinion, Yakima is the end all of roof top carriers. Bombproof.......

Yakima rain gutters are sweet...!!

Yakima rain gutters are very simple to install. I installed them on a 15 passenger super duty passenger van without using any fowl language..!! They installed quickly and securely, and the rubber gasgets keep them from scatching your paint job. You can also plug in a lock so that no one can walk away with your racks..!! A great product that is well worth the money...

I got these for my 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager and they are so easy to put on! It literally took 20 minutes. They are super Sturdy as well.

Super-easy to use, quality product!

I used to install Yakima racks at the outdoor retailer I worked for. My current rack has 6+ years on it and is going strong. 1A Raingutter towers are bomber...they grip tight and are super-easy to install. Just place them in your raingutters, slide the bar through, and tighten a bolt and turn the big handle. Easy! I know a guy who brought a rack back to me for replacement. He had driven his Ford Explorer into an automatic car wash with those huge brushes. The brushes wrapped around his crossbars and actually lifted his Explorer a few inches off the ground before dropping it. The rack bent a bit but held intact. Another told me how he rolled his car in an accident. His Yakima rack stayed on and the police told him the rack probably kept his roof from caving in on his head. I highly recommend Yakima racks to anyone who needs a way to carry their gear on their vehicle. I'm sure those guys do too :)
