Makes it easy on you.

Chances are pretty good that your bike doesn't have a kickstand, and for good reason. But that can make tire inflation a bit of a struggle, particularly when dealing with tubeless tires. Topeak's Transformer Floor Pump has adjustable seat and chainstay hooks and foldable legs that allow the Transporter to serve as a stand.

The stay hooks slide up and down to fit a variety of frames, and, like the stabilizer legs, they fold out of the way when not in use -- which is perfect for storage and portability. The Transformer's alloy body is also light to ease the struggle of lugging a full size pump around in your trunk. A SmartHead with air-release button allows quick adaptability to both Presta and Schrader valves and lets you fine tune air pressure.

The Transformer includes ball/bladder needles and a Dunlop valve adapter. A top-mount gauge provides easy reading and setting of air pressure. The Transformer has a max PSI of 160 and comes in one color, Black.

  • Deployable, adjustable seat and chainstay hooks
  • Foldable kickstand legs
  • SmartHead works with Presta, Schrader valves
  • Top-mount pressure gauge
  • 160PSI maximum pressure

Best floor pump

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Sure there are pumps that have similar features. I have not tried them. I have a Specialized floor pump from 1990 that still works well, but I wanted a pump with some extras that I could put in the car when I drive out to bike parks or races. This pump well designed, well made, and has been very durable so far (1 year of use). Having the gauge on the pump handle works well for me since I don't have to have my glasses on to see the readout. The bike stand clips are very clever and very useful. The pump's extra long hose length rocks. I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend to my friends in a heartbeat.

Why give bad review if you have no use

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Why the heck is someone giving a bad review of a product you:

1. Have no use of

2. Have not bought

Totally not understandable.

this thing is great being on a race-event, making three crits over the day. You can put your bike on this stand and do not have to lean it onto something... where it might roll down and fall.

innovative or over-engineered?

The next time I'm in the middle of the desert with nothing to lean my bike against I suppose I'll wish I had a stand built into a floor pump. Barring that scenario this seems a little unnecessary.

Think I have to agree. A solution for which there was no problem?
