Race day or everyday dependability.

As the complement to the jersey of the same name, Sugoi's RSE Men's Bib Short has long been an effort to bring pro-level fit and function to self-sponsored athletes with Sugoi continuously updating it with the latest in fabric and tech. The latest iteration of race day/training day fare is constructed with fabric designed to hold its shape over hours in the saddle during your high-mileage and high-speed weeks alike.

Sugoi relies on a nylon and spandex blend to create the RSE, cutting the woven fabric in a form-fitting silhouette to allow it to rapidly draw moisture away from your skin and move with you while you're in the riding position. Careful to not add weight where it isn't necessary, Sugoi kept the bib strap construction relatively minimal in comparison to mid or entry-level options, with an open back and streamlined shape that sits quietly under a jersey as you ride.

As the RSE is Sugoi's top-of-the-line bib short, Sugoi fittingly includes its most luxurious chamois, the Formula FXE to act as a plush, supportive barrier between you and the saddle on your longest races and rides. Rounded edges, a seamless construction, and a soft, antibacterial top layer all help the chamois integrate with the rest of the bib short so it doesn't inhibit your range of motion, while perforations on the front section help enhance breathability and airflow to a region that could always stand to benefit from it.

Great design, poor quality

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I actually bought 2 pair because I liked the design so much. Unfortunately the quality is a real problem. I previously reported a problem with the strip of fabric across the front coming off. I bought a second pair taking extra care when putting them on. The second pair came apart at one of the seams.

A very expensive lesson.

I have a pair of these too. Same problem with the strip of fabric in the front plus the pad in the chamois migrates all to one side.

Excellent Bib Shorts for long rides.

I picked up a pair of these last summer, and they have been my go to bibs for longer rides and races. These are the most comfortable pair of bib tights I own, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top notch pair of bibs. They are a bit pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion. I wore them during a 12 hour race last year where I rode 244 miles in them, and had no issues whatsoever, as far as the comfort of my bib shorts was concerned.

Excellent Bib Shorts for long rides.
