It should really come as no surprise that the engineers at Storck would lay claim to producing one of the lightest carbon cranksets in the world, seeing as their familiarity in the realm of bicycle composite design and manufacturing is matched by few. As such, the new Storck Powerarms G2 (second generation) Crank Arms perfectly illustrate the German brand's dedication to producing some of the lightest, most innovative, and dependable carbon components in the industry. The crank arms weigh in at right around 440 grams, meaning that your featherweight dream build is about to get whole lot better.
The new carbon power arms feature a built-in spider for both added stiffness and a reduction in overall weight. Storck partnered with THM composites in Germany for the construction of the new crankset, resulting in an innovative design that incorporates an outboard sealed bearing system mated to a 30mm aluminum spindle. In-house testing showed that this design yielded the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for the rider who demands the best in terms of both low weight and maximum power transfer.
The Storck Powerarms G2 Cranks Arms are available the sizes 170, 172.5, and 175mm, and feature a 130 BCD. The Powerarms have a Q-factor of 149mm and weigh in at roughly 440 grams (crankset, bearing cups, and lockrings). Please note: Storck has a 210 lb. recommended rider weight limit placed on this set of cranks.
