Carbon now, power later.
Maybe you're not ready to go all-in on the power meter game just yet, but there's no reason to limit your future options. This version of the SRAM Red BB386 Crankset is power-ready—that is, its crank arms and chainrings can be detached from the included spider and attached to a Quarq power meter when you decide it's time to enter the world of power metrics. It's still got the same Exogram technology, it can just upgrade that tech with a power meter spider.
Like its non-upgradeable counterpart, this Red crankset features a considerably burlier arm shape than previous versions with a true hollow cross section. The rings are also the same as standard Red fare: SRAM’s stiff X-GlideR chainrings are machined from 5mm thick 7075-T6 aluminum and have been carefully modified to work with the 11-speed drivetrain. The chainrings feature enhanced shift pins and shifted ramp profiles to work seamlessly with the Yaw-caged front derailleur.
- A racing crankset that lets you upgrade to power when ready
- Spider is replaceable with Quarq power meter spider
- Exogram carbon crank arms drop weight without dropping watts
- Chainring pins and ramps designed for SRAM's Yaw derailleur
