Comfort for the epics.

It can take some schedule balancing, but when we manage to find time for an all-day epic, we want to make sure that every mile spent on the bike is a mile well spent. This means minimal distractions, and maximum comfort, so we reach for the Sportful Total Comfort Women's Bib Shorts. Solving the problems before they start, the Total Comfort short provide, as the name implies, complete comfort and support for the ride. They are engineered to offer amplified comfort abode other shorts, with just the right amount of support on your muscles, and understated styling that pairs with any kit in your closet.

The bibs begin with a soft hug from a synthetic woven fabric that supports your muscles while accelerating moisture transfer to keep you cool. Paneling throughout the legs move stitches away from sensitive skin, and flat-lock stitching helps reduce the potential for chaffing and hot spots on all day rides. Up top you'll find comfortable support carrying on with laser cut bib straps designed to lay flat, and stay locked in place with help from light silicone printing. As you'd expect from Sportful, the Total Comfort Bibs are finished off with a top-tier chamois. The TC Pro Women's chamois offers tapered, multi-density foam to cushion your sit bones from rough and chattery roads, while aiding in moisture transfer to keep you feeling fresh day in and day out.

  • Supportive bibs for all-day comfort
  • Panels support muscles and boost wicking
  • Flatlock seams prevent chaffing in sensitive zones
  • Stay supported on top with laser cut bibs
  • Bibs and hems lock in place with silicone print
  • Take the sting out of rough roads with women's TC chamois

Great compression, but straps fall short

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

If you have read any of my previous reviews on other bibs, you may notice a pattern.. I am obsessed with the fit of straps when it comes to bibs. I think the best straps are ones that actually feel like a well-thought, integral piece of the bibs. I do not enjoy bibs that feel like shorts with bibs added on at the end.

With that in mind, these bibs are close to perfect in my mind. Great chamois, even and supportive compression throughout, high quality fabrics. However, the straps fall short. I enjoy the back portion of the straps, but the front of the bib rides low on my mid-section and can cause some pinching in certain positions. This could have been alleviated by bringing the front o the short up higher. It seems many companies are hesitant to cut their bibs this way which is a bit disappointing. Overall, pretty stoked on these, but could see some areas for improvement.

Sizing is the same as my Assos, Castelli, and Machines for Freedom bibs.

I own a couple of brands when it comes to bib-shorts I can say these are my favorite pair. The problem with my other ones is even in the proper size they hug your leg too much. This pair does not do that at all and the fabric is also super light with a mesh type of paneling on the side. This mesh is not see through by any means and you almost cannot even tell it is there but because of those it is light enough for it to feel comfortable and breathable. Favorite pair of shorts and choose those over my others whenever I can.
