Description

Worn by the best.

Originally developed for the Tinkoff-Saxo team to maximize aerodynamics and comfort during training and racing, the Sportful Men's BodyFit Pro Limited Edition Bib Short has proven itself at the highest levels of cycling, making it an ideal choice for everyone from pros to mere mortals looking to perform their very best.

Constructed with top-shelf materials, the bib short's 220-gram Lycra body delivers all the benefits of compression, while its AeroFlow Compress fabric along the outer edges enhances aerodynamics without sacrificing muscle support. Four-needle flatlock stitching lies flat against your skin to eliminate chafing and irritation on longer tours and fast-paced training sessions alike. Lay-flat gripper elastic keeps these shorts nice and secure, ensuring they don't slip off when you're cranking at a high cadence. Other tech features include load-spreading mesh bib straps for optimal ventilation and a radio/media pocket that's big enough for storing your preferred media player.

Equipped with a TC Pro chamois, this bib short provides low-profile padding without excess bulk. Its low-density urethane foam ranges from 9 to 14-millimeters in thickness, with a dimpled surface for superior moisture-wicking performance. It also sports Press-To-Zero finished edges to eliminate chafing, as well as an anatomic fit for optimal levels of saddle comfort and performance.

Great fit and comfort

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I use these for both road and mountain biking. Usually rides around 2 hours or longer. My most recent ride was a mountain bike ride with a long climb to start with. Super comfortable throughout the ride and very cool(as in temperature). The temperature that day was mid-high 70s and they felt great. I've ridden them in warmer weather and they are pretty good. I really like the minimal bib straps for the hot days out.

Compared to other bibs I own I would say that they are definitely my favorite. The material is hands down the best, although I would hope so considering they are fairly expensive. They stay put while riding. Good compression but not so much its constricting.

Overall I would recommend them to people if you are willing to throw down the money.

Outstanding support and comfort

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I've worn my BodyFit Pros on several rides in the 2.5-3.5 hour range, and consider them some of the most comfortable bib shorts I own. The cut in the hips and thighs keeps everything snug without restricting movement. The chamois is high quality, and does the padding job so well I don't even know it's there. The suspenders are an additional well-thought-out design touch: flat, perforated, seamless straps that lie flat across your back and shoulders without bunching up. Even the leg grippers have a smart design, with silicon Sportful logos that run along the inside to "stick" the cuffs in place while still allowing some adjustment on the fly (this is a nice compromise between the very common no-grip cuffs, which can slide around, and others that wrap and stick a silicon band all around your legs).

The BodyFit Pros get bonus points for their subtle aesthetics. Mine have three thin red, white, and gray horizontal stripes around the cuffs, helping the shorts match easily with different jerseys. The black spandex panels, like the Sportful Grupettos, have a sublimated honeycomb pattern that catches your eye without screaming for attention.

I can't tell yet how these bib shorts will hold up over time, but the materials and workmanship seem high quality.

Fast and comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bibs use the excellent TC Pro chamois which I like because its' padding favors a forward riding position, is sized just right, and thus is very comfortable on fast rides. Of course, chamois fit is very personal. The main fabric of the short is light but compressive and it may have an aero benefit but I have no way to measure it other than the shorts feel fast. The upper part of the shorts is very supportive but breathes well. Overall, these shorts feel great and have been durable. I can see why the pros reportably like these.
