Flexi Knee Pads Lite

You're looking for a little more protection than your baggies can offer, but that doesn't mean a bulky hard-shell pad is going to do the trick for you. You'd prefer something lighter, a little more breathable, and a hell of a lot more pedalbale, so toss on the SHRED Flexi Knee Pads Lite and get your shred on. These breathable sleeves offer flexible knee protection, thanks to SLYTECH foam that molds to your body and moves with you when you're hammering up the trail. They are topped with anatomically-shaped spandex that stretches, and holds the pads in place, while an Armortex fabric covers the padding to protect against abrasion.

  • Speedy slip-on protection to keep your knees scuff free
  • SLYTECH foam progressively adapts to different impact forces
  • Anatomically-cut spandex moves with you when you pedal
  • Stand up against abrasion with Armortex outer panels
  • Slip-on system is easy, fuss free, and stays in place

Love these

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Sm/md

Not one to write reviews but since good reviews helped with my purchasing decision I figured Id give back.
I love these for the following reasons:
They did not rub or create a sore spot. My biggest worry was that they would rub and blister my ridiculously sensitive skin.
They didn’t annoy me, Ive got holes in all my shirts from ripping out the tags, cutting them leaves a sharper edge so I tear them out leaving me with holes. I don’t care I hate tags.
These knee protectors are so light and unobtrusive that you don’t know they are there. They even have mesh for extra cooling.
They stayed put. Im an old lady (59) with some not especially tight thighs, yet they stayed put.
I had a couple good crashes one was a bad bone bruise which lead me to this purchase to start. So far Ive not crashed with these but I feel like they would give me really good protection when that happens and it will.
I bought small/med and they are perfect . Im 5’6” and weigh 130, a size 6 in jeans.
You won’t be disappointed in these !

Flexible, light, packable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are awesome pads when you'd like a little extra protection without taking on something bulky and annoying! They were also able to stuff into a pack, nice for longer pedals up. They seemed to run a little bigger/looser than other brands I've tried.

Light and flexible

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Super impressed by how lightweight and flexible these pads are. I don't usually wear pads but decided to try these out for a local race. I expected them to feel bulky and awkward but not so! They are easy to cram into my pack for the ride up and quickly slip on and stay in place for the ride down. I'll definitely be adding a pair of these along with the elbow pads to my collection.

Excellent for pedaling

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Hi! My name is Cat and I've been a Shred sponsored athlete for 3 years now and am stoked to see you're considering these pads. Lightweight and breathable, these are my favourite for trail riding since I haven't experienced any sliding down, chafing, or sweaty-knee. A great go-to for experienced riders looking for a pad that doesn't restrict your ROM that you can comfortably wear on the climbs.

Nice and breathable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm not a huge mountain biker but know that big pads are annoying. These were super nice for the demo I took them on in the desert. I like the mesh panel on the back and it was super comfy on the pedal-y trail I was on.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Didn't end up using them. Hopefully soon though. Construction seems solid.

Best Pads Ever

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am usually not one for wearing pads while riding unless at a resort or somewhere similar. I hate when pedaling how clunky, large, and just in the way pads are. I also hate how sometimes they slip down or don't breath at all. However, these pads were so perfect I forgot I was wearing them during a 20 mile ride. They have the spandex at the top to keep them in place, a mesh back to breath, and are super light so while riding you don't even notice. Cannot say enough good things about these!

Can't Wait!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently had the opportunity to take these out for a spin. Unfortunately, the trip I wanted to use them for was canceled, To be continued on my review. You can tell the quality is there and they are comfortable and lite to wear and put on.

Hi, my name is Tommy Ford and have been a Shred athlete for about 10 years. These pads just keep getting better. They are light and fit easily into a camelback. Wicked comfortable as well. Not too hot.

Great Pads!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Outstanding. I have to be honest. I was a bit skeptical about wearing pads. I was nervous that I would find the points of pad to knee contact and the surrounding area irritating. I WAS WRONG! I forgot I had the pads on roughly 5 minutes into my ride. Zero rubbing. Zero Discomfort. Very impressed. With riding season here in New England just ramping up, I look forward to many more miles using these pads.

I have been a Shred Sponsored Athlete for 4 Months.

The Perfect Everyday Knee Pads

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For days where you may be putting in the miles or for those mellow trail days, these are literally the best pads you could choose. They are so comfy and breathable I forget I have them on and find myself getting home from a ride and scrolling through Instagram before I realize they are still on. They also have extra material above the knee so you can say goodbye to that awful thigh gap. Ladies, even without owning the longest shorts, these will still help you prevent the dreaded thigh gap! The material also hardens on impact so they still offer more protection for a comfy sleeve knee pads than the several other brands I have tried. They are also simple and black so they look nice as well! Hand down would recommend!

Hate pads? These are the ones for you!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Sometimes you just don't want to pad up, whether you're being lazy or don't like the feel. The Flexi Lites are great because you barely feel them while riding. They're incredibly light weight, flexible, and breathable that it hardly feels like wearing a pad at all. They're great for rides when you're not sure how far you'll be pedalling, or worried if there's some gnarly sections you may want protection for. I frequently use these pads for multi-day epic rides because they're just so comfortable.

Lightweight and Get the Job Done!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used these pads for 2 seasons now for mountain biking (mainly park) and for snowboarding (mainly park too). I have to say they are very breathable, stay in place and are very durable. They have saved my skin several times in both mtn biking and snowboarding. I hardly even notice I have them on after about 5 of riding. Great purchase and I'll definitely be purchasing another set when these are done!

Light and comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These lite knee pads are perfect for all riding besides downhill/bike park (but i do have a friend that races DH with these). It’s not necessary to have heavy duty pads for all rides so that’s when these come in handy. My favorite part about them is the sleeve above and below the pad that wraps around my thigh. It’s light enough that I don’t notice it yet it keeps the pad in place and doesn’t show skin right above my knee. Really impressed with the design of these pads.

My name is Kera and I have been sponsored by Shred for 1 year.

Bye Bye Awkward Thigh Gap!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've tried quite a few pads biking over the years and these are by far my favorite! The Lites sit higher on your thigh to get rid of the awkward gap that many pads leave between your shorts and pads. On other pads, I used to pull them down to my ankles for big climbs in the summer and tear them off the second I got back to the car because they were hot and uncomfortable. The Lites name does them justice as they're insanely breathable to the point where I often come home without realizing I'm still wearing them. Loving the look of Shred's new logo too!
