Elite 2.1 Jacket
Expanding on the ever-popular Women's Elite 2.0 Jacket, the updated Elite 2.1 continues to provide shelter to wet-climate cyclists. What differentiates the new from the old is a redesigned cut which offers a balance of ergonomics that's equally at home touring, training, or commuting.
The Elite 2.1 Jacket's new semi-form fit offers the ability to fit over bulkier street clothes, yet it's still low profile enough that it won't flap like a plastic bag when worn over cycling-specific jerseys or baselayers. It's made from a durable nylon shell that uses an eVent membrane for full waterproof protection with unmatched breathability.
The three-layer eVent fabric allows sweat vapor to easily escape to the outside of the fabric, where it's quickly evaporated. This excellent breathability is further enhanced with the addition of underarm zip vents, weather tight cuffs that sport hook-and-loop tabs so they can open wide to let air flow in, and a mesh-lined large back panel for flow-thru ventilation.
While the two-way front zipper also allows you to tune air flow, it's waterproof so you won't experience cold drafts. Adding to the Elite 2.1's weather resistance, are fully taped seams and a collar that features hook-and-loop attachments for compatibility with the available separately Showers Pass Rain Hood. The droptail hem ensures coverage in the riding position, and cinch cords at collar and hem seal in warmth.
Showers Pass provides the Elite 2.1 with a chest pocket that features an internal headphone port. And, like the angled, easy-to-access, back storage pocket, it uses a water-resistant zipper. Showers Pass has never been shy when safety comes in to play. You'll find plentiful 3M Reflective taping on the arms, back, and sides, as well as a loop on the back for wearing a safety light.
The Women's Elite 2.1 Rain Jacket comes in sizes Small through X-Large and is available in Ocean Blue and Electric Rose.

Always Wet from Sweat
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought this jacket and the matching pants at an industry trade show three years ago, and I find that it is NOT breathable. I get all sweaty after just 1.5 miles. I find it unbearably hot. While it keeps the rain from getting in, it does not let the sweat evaporate. It is OK for around town, but I would never do a training ride in this gear.

Amazing!
This jacket is amazing. Extremely well constructed. True to size based on measurements from size chart. Leaves plenty of room underneath for a layer or two while still holding a female shape. The Rose is gorgeous and is now my favorite riding jacket! You can't go wrong with this product.

Maybe try Gore's ALP-X 2.0 for rain protection next time. I've had no problems with moisture buildup with the appropriate jersey & base layer. The only thing is that it's just a shell, and not warm...layering a must in cooler/cold weather. I went a size up, and can wear it over a regular bike jacket, if necessary. Very good a windbreaking, too; and a great extendable "tail" for wet/muddy rides. I gave it a "B", because I think it could use more pockets...N.B.D. though.
