Sets the BAR high
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I gave this as a gift to my brother and he had this info to share! "This was an upgrade from the stock 780mm Race Face bars that came on my bike. I'm 5'10'' and was worried the switch from 780mm bars to 760mm would take some getting used to but then I grabbed my Euro calculator and realized 20mm is only .787 red blooded american inches which equates to a .39in difference on each side. Obviously lighter, the carbon bars also take away some of the buzz while riding - think of this buzz as smacking an aluminum bat on the ground or the vibration of a tuning fork. I'd recommend this upgrade. "
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I was happy to upgrade my race face aluminum bar with this Santa Cruz carbon bar. With the relatively new 35mm bar diameter in the 760mm length and a nice 50mm stem, my ride handles like a dream. It's my first carbon bar and so far its been great. I appreciate the understated black Santa Cruz lettering on my non-SC ride. After 5-6 rides I am very happy with my purchase.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Being a 35mm oversize handlebar I was expecting this handlebar to feel harsh. It doesn't. In fact it feels amazing. You get the added stiffness and steering precision of the larger 35mm clamp diameter, but it doesn't feel harsh on trail. The sweep and rise feel nice too. I'm kind of picky when it comes to handlebars. So far I've had the best luck with ENVE and Santa Cruz carbon handlebars. Come to find out, they are both made in the same factory. So far so good.
