When someone asks us to name our dream bike, this Bronson Carbon CC Mountain Bike is one of the first to come to mind. This no-holds-barred, premium trail bike mixes some of the best of the best componentry on the market with Santa Cruz's legendary frame quality. It's an ideal bike for aggressive trail riding and lift-assisted park laps, but is equally at home pedaling for miles and miles across undulating desert terrain. The mixed wheelbase expertly has us rolling over obstacles, getting through techy chunder, and flying high over gaps with a confident feel.

The all-mountain Bronson sees expertly-tuned geometry for rolling through aggressive trails with stability and poise. The integrated flip-chip can drop the bike between high and low settings, but in the low setting, we're running the bike with a stable 64.5° head-tube angle. The steep 74.6° seat-tube angle and supportive pedaling platform of VPP keep us motoring up steep climbs.

Suspension is handled with a mix of elite FOX and RockShox parts, specifically chosen by the Santa Cruz team to give their VPP linkage the best possible ride quality. A FOX 36 Factory fork takes care of the front end, while a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate calms down all the trail chunder thrown its way. Tried and tested drivetrain duties are taken care of with the SRAM Eagle XX1 AXS group, as this lightweight electronic drivetrain brings wireless shifting to the mix for reliable gear changes with every click of the button.

Also included on this Bronson are Reserve 30 carbon wheels with quick-engaging Industry Nine Hydra hubs. The wide and supportive Maxxis rubber offers plenty of grip in loose and fast terrain, while the 4-piston Code RSC brakes help us keep our speed in check. Running this Santa Cruz at the local enduro scene is bound to bring plenty of smiles along the way, and maybe a podium or two.
