Built for smashing climbs and flying down any descent we can find, the Santa Cruz Blur Trail is the ultimate downcountry machine. The ultralight Carbon CC frame delivers unbeatable stiffness designed with performance as its focal point, and the trail version comes equipped with a rear yoke engineered to allow for 15mm more travel. With 115mm of Fox Factory-supported Superlight rear travel, the Blur Trail lets us spin our way to the top of the steepest climb with ease and get playful on our way back down. The slacked-out 67.1-degree headtube angle and relatively long wheelbase ensure just the right amount of high-speed stability without sacrificing agility on tight switchbacks, while the 75.1-degree seat tube angle allows us to get into an insanely powerful pedaling position so we can drop our competition on the climbs.

SRAM’s new XX SL Eagle Transmission drivetrain not only shaves away every gram possible and offers unbelievably smooth shifting, but it is also built to withstand day-in, day-out racing and training. A pair of 4-piston SRAM Level Ultimate Stealth brakes ensure we can stop on a dime, and a 120 mm Fox Factory 34 Step Cast fork smooths out the increasingly gnarly XC race courses we’re seeing now. This Blur Trail gets a pair of nearly indestructible Reserve 28|XC 29er carbon rims laced up to reliable DT Swiss 180 EXP hubs to keep us rolling no matter how chunky the course gets.
