The Blur Carbon S Mountain Bike is a worthy tool for our local XC race series, or just for leaving our buddies in the dust on long-distance singletrack routes. This modern cross-country machine utilizes 100mm of Superlight rear travel to help our rear tire stick to the ground on grueling climbs, and provide a touch of added traction on the descents. The 68.3-degree head tube angle is steep enough for a super aggressive pedaling position, while the 29in wheels let us roll over rock ledges with ease.
Spec on this iteration of the Blur doesn't miss a beat, high-value RockShox components supporting season after season of hits. The bike is decked out with the SID fork and rear SidLuxe shock, two impressively lightweight systems that support on the descents and climbs. The drivetrain is fully kitted with SRAM's 12-speed Eagle drivetrain which offers an impressive gear range and low maintenance. The lightweight Carbon C frame leaves nearly nothing to be desired and is only one step down from the CC model. Maxxis Aspen tires in the 2.4in width allow for better grip in the corners and low rolling resistance in the flats.

I couldn't be happier with the process and experience of working with CC on my order. The bike is rad and a huge upgrade from my previous bike. I would 100% buy from competitive again.

I just did my second ride after some upgrades; this bike climbs fast and handles great on technical terrain. If you are looking for a marathon bike, I would recommend it.

Amazing bike, poorly assembled

Received my Blur and it was very well packaged. The bike itself is absolutely amazing! Handles like a dream and is wickedly fast. Unfortunately, whoever assembled mine must have been new or poorly trained. The cables were so short that the bars would not turn past 80 degrees without stressing the housings. In the event of a crash the cables would have likely broken or pulled loose from attachment points. This required me to replace all cables and housing, which was an unexpected additional expense and time commitment. Also, when replacing the cables each one already had broken strands and the housings had very crudely cut, jagged ends. In addition, the Twistloc housing screw had been over torqued and stripped so instead of locking the suspension it just spun freely on the bar. This required me to purchase a replacement at another out of pocket cost of $100.00. Finally, when looking at the build sheet I noticed the recorded torque used to tighten the stem was almost double the max recommended by the manufacturer. Fortunately there doesn't appear to be any damage, but it certainly helps explain the stripped screw hole on the Twistloc. I did relay my findings to customer service and was simply told they would "pass it on". No offer to send new cables or housings, no offer to compensate for my time. I give the bike itself a solid 5 out of 5, however the poor assembly and lackluster response from customer service drops the overall experience significantly.
