X-Night Disc Rival 1 Complete Cyclocross Bike
Hit up the 'cross course with Ridley's X-Night Disc Rival 1 Complete Cyclocross Bike and duke it out using its ideal blend of new technology and refined Euro geometry to your advantage. Slap on the file treads for the early season hot and dusty grass crits and trade them out for mud tires when proper cross weather hits later in the season, all aboard a bike that can do it all. Sitting one step below the SL, the X-Night uses a slightly different carbon layup to lower the cost and it wisely specs it with SRAM's workhorse 1x Rival drivetrain and powerful hydraulic disc brakes for a value-packed group that helps pay for race entries or an extra wheelset. Its 42-tooth chainring and 11-32-tooth cassette provide the proper gearing and shifting simplicity for any terrain you'll find on the course and anything too steep for that is probably quicker on foot anyway. Its rolling stock consists of Fulcrum Racing 500 db wheels wrapped with quick rolling and grippy Donnelly MXP rubber.
The X-Night is constructed from 24t high-modulus carbon fiber that channels all of your pedal power into forward motion while preventing rough sections of the course from reaching the rider which leads to fatigue. Internal cable routing gets the housing out of the way for easy shouldering on the run-ups and sandpits and prevents cables from becoming contaminated. The race-specific European cyclocross geometry offers quick handling and makes picking lines on tricky, technical courses a breeze. Its generous clearance allows tires to easily pass through the chainstays, be it on a dry grassy course or a peanut butter mud-filled one.
The X-Night's fork is new as well with flat mounts for the disc brake calipers and a 12mm thru-axle for a solid ride, with a slight asymmetry to counter the torsional forces applied to the left fork leg when slowing down. Stainless steel inserts at the dropouts protect the carbon from damage, and a scuff plate on the inner left fork leg protects the carbon surface from rotor rash when swapping out wheels. The added durability adds up to a reliable and longer fork lifespan, so you don't have to second guess if you're fork is safe to ride.
- A 1x carbon cross machine from the masters of CX
- Euro 'cross-specific geometry meets stiff and responsive carbon
- 1x drivetrain gearing is suited for the course
- Internal cable routing maintains clean lines and reduces contamination
- Versatile tires grip and roll fast on almost any terrain
- Stainless steel inserts increase the fork's lifespan

tubeless ready?
Hi John,
Unfortunately, these wheels are not tubeless ready. You would have to upgrade the wheels for tubeless.
The geometry for this needs addressing. 7 frame sizes and three wheel base measurements across the range? Get the tape measure out.
Hey Justin,
We've double checked with Ridley on the geo for this bike and confirmed the chart to be accurate. They are changing the seat tube and headtube angle across sizes which is why you see consistent wheelbase measurements for a few of their sizes.
If you have any other questions, give us a call.
Cheers!
