All about that base (mile season)

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

This baselayer is light in weight but not in warmth and fits superbly well beneath a jersey or jacket. Riding year round in Utah means more than the occasional day of 30-minutes-to-get-dressed kind of weather, and this baselayer has proven to be my secret weapon in the fight against being frozen. The merino blend is great for both the softness of it as well as retaining its shape well (versus some all wool layers that stretch too soon).
I am generally a large in most cycling kit (Castelli, Giordana) and went with a large in this layer, too, though I have a large bust, so some may find going true to size better.
