Item # PED000H

The Trixie Chrome features eight functions designed for the urban cyclist. This includes a lockring tool and 15mm axle nut wrench, along with 8, 9, and 10mm box end wrenches. It also has both 4 and 5mm hexes to cover most fixed-gear or single-speed bike repairs.

The Trixie Chrome attaches to frame braze-ons with wing nuts for quick and easy removal and installation. And, at 7.4 inches of length with an ergonomic shape, the Trixie provides excellent leverage for loosening stubborn cogs or axle nuts.

Pedro's Trixie Chrome is made from 5mm-thick heat-treated tool steel for strength and long-lasting performance. In fact Pedro's cover the Trixie Chrome with a Lifetime Warranty, and even built in a bottle opener for post-ride recovery.

What do you think about this product?

Will the lock ring tool work on opening and closing a S&S coupling? It looks to be the same shape, but I'm not sure of size offhand.

I use it as my travel spanner for my coupled bike, and it has reliably worked for me many times. The curvature is not as aggressive as the spanner supplied with the couplers so it is not as good a fit as I would like, but it fits both of the two sized couplers I have on my bike. It is lighter than the stock spanner. My pedals do not come off when I travel and they do not have the flats that would allow me to take advantage of the pedal wrench feature of the stock spanner so this tool also provides several additional functions to have on the road. In short it works for the couplers, and is lighter and more versatile.

Trixie does it right.

I've used it several times

From the pictures I thought this might be a little flimsy but I wanted to have something to mount to my bike. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it and saw how robust it actually is. I was concerned about the little rubber piece falling out during the ride, but I haven't had it happen yet and I don't think it is going anywhere. The tools all work great and it also looks cool to have on the bike at all times. I usually carry a small tool in my backpack so I switched the wing nuts for the traditional bolts because I am afraid someone might steal my tool because of how cool it is. Pedro's does it again.
