Lubes chains
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I've been using this lube primarily on my mountain bike which I ride mostly in Colorado. It certainly lubes the chain just fine, as advertised, and I can definitely tell a difference in shifting when I've got a fresh coat on there. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a wet lube, so if you ride in a dry, dusty climate (like the rocky mountains of Colorado) it's going to pick up a ton of grime and you'll wanna make sure you're cleaning your chain pretty regularly too, not just lubing it. It'll also help your case to make sure you're only lubing the joints of your chain, not the entire drive train.

For a low maintenance person
This Pedro's Chainj lubricant separates itself from most lubes on the market the last 10 years. It is not the typical waxed based, dry, teflon, or ultra light chain lube you may have grown accustomed to. It is brown and remains oily and wet on the chain. I put it on my race bike and was pretty disappointed. It left my chain and sprockets brown and oily and took away from the ultra clean look I like. After two rides I cleaned it off and reapplied Pro Link lube, which I tediously reapply every week or so. So why would you want to use the Pedros? 1. Stays on long: I used this on my commuter, mountain bike, and my kids bikes that sometimes get left outside. The stuff just stays on and keep the drive train quiet and rust free. 2. Doesnt grease up: It seems to hold its wetness without the developing black grease right away. 3. Cleans up easy: Cleans off easy with simple green unlike waxy products. If you have a commuter bike that sees a lot of weather, need extra protection for that muddy or wet cross race, or need a chain lube you can apply and forget about, Chanj is a good product. I think its made from olive oil so make sure to wipe a lot of excess off the chain. If you like a clean chain and are a fair weather rider you will want to stay away from this stuff.

Get it
Just use it and notice the difference in your chain each time you clean your bike. Your chain will thank you. Shifts clean. Rides clean. Sounds smooth.

Chainj is the only constant
This is a nice viscocity lube. Seems to stay on pretty good too, no spider webs on my ankles from it and it keeps my chain smooth.

Keeps the chain moving freely
Used this product before my move to SLC and it worked great! Was able to pull in off the bike rack and roll through the trails with ease.

Not Bad!!!
Tried this product for the first time. Went on easy and didnt break down quicker than other products I have used. Good in wet conditions and has kept my chains and cables so far rust free.

Gummy, Gunky, Crud Collecting.
Never again. Never. Turned my chain into a dust, dirt, grime, and goop collector.

slippery enough
So I like the lube and it does it's job and has kept the rust off my chain. but there needs to be a better top I have lost half of the stuff due to the top not staying on. I won't buy it again until they change the top. Th applicator is nice and gives you better control during application.
