Running tires tubeless might be one of the greatest revelations we've come across during our years of riding. The ability to run lower pressure and a reduction in flats is just too good to ignore. As systems continue to refine, Orange Seal brings products to the table that improve the experience and through trial and error, are engineered to reduce any frustration that may ensue with a tubeless setup. Its Versa Valve Tubeless Valve Stem is one product that has proven its weight in gold.

The biggest advantage of the Versa Valve is its large base that accepts different rubber grommets that help this valve adapt to an airtight fit on virtually any rim. No more leaking sealant or air at the valve hole. These 42mm valves are built of aluminum for light weight and feature removable valve cores for sealant injection and extender use. The kit comes with 2 valves, 2 different grommets, extra valve cores, and a valve removal tool.

  • 42-millimeter long valve stems for tubeless setups
  • Interchangeable rubber grommets adapts to rim channel profiles
  • Removable valve core for sealant inject and extender use
  • Alloy construction for light weight

Would purchase again

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It's a tubeless stem with all the necessary parts. Several different washers are included to make sure it fits perfectly with your wheel. These are great and I would buy them again.

Better options out there

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very disappointed. First off, the length is very misleading. The 60mm one measures something like 75-80mm from bottom to the tip, unlike most of the tube valves, measured from bottom to the tip. Second, it does not work well with Silca presta chulk. Third, The nut is very easily scratched. From my 5 sets of tubeless wheels, this is the least practical one.

I too am disappointed with these but for different reasons. First the nut is very small (short & small O.D.) such that gripping it is very difficult. This also causes it to squeeze the o-ring so tightly that loosening/tightening the nut is nearly impossible. The wrench flats can help but I don't carry wrench that size when I'm out riding. I had to use a spare lock nut w/ o-ring from another stem which didn't have any of these problems. Also the flat base of the stem doesn't grip the grommet so when loosening/tightening the nut the stem turns with the nut. Between that and the undersized locknut I had to unseat the tire to hold the stem's base in order to loosen/tighten it. This problem makes these stems too much of hassle to bother with despite how great they look on paper. Am. Classic & E*Thirteen make valves with alloy bases, but those have a lip on them that grips the grommet just fine. Orange Seal should delete one of the two spare cores (how many spares does one need?) and instead put the money into a bigger locknut and a base that will grip the grommet.
