Description

Minion DHR II EXO/TR Tire

If you thought the OG Minion DHR gripped hard and cornered on rails, buckle up your seatbelt for the Maxxis Minion DHR II EXO/TR 27.5 Plus Tire. It's burly shoulder lugs and wide stance sets the bar for plus-sized gravity and free-ride tires, digging in for aggressive turns and biting in for accelerations and confident braking. The center lugs, which were markedly spaced in its predecessor, now sit nearly joined at the center for a fast-rolling, paddle-like effect. Together, these tread features mean improved cornering and better braking, especially in loose, dusty conditions.

In addition to that burly tread pattern, Maxxis includes EXO sidewall protection for increased durability and a tubeless-ready bead so you can lose the tube and drop the pressure for a smoother, pinch-flat-free ride.

  • A burly 27.5-inch gravity tire that grips hard
  • Rugged tread pattern for quick acceleration and confident braking
  • EXO sidewall protection boosts durability

Nailed it

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Its no secret at this point that you can't go wrong with a DHR DHF set up. Pretty much the standard against which other tires are measured, these roll reasonably well, and grip like mad. Threw these on a 27+ hardtail and I am a big fan. Also a true 2.8 here, no 2.6 masquerading as a plus tire.

A great tire, only BIGGER

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I love the DHR II as a front or rear tire in most dryer, rocky locations, so when a plus version came out, I knew it would be a great option for added traction!
