Why We Like The Aggressor EXO/TR Tire

Get ready to shred singletrack and bomb gnarly descents with the Maxxis Aggressor EXO/TR Tire - 29in. We can't promise it'll make you a better rider, but its rugged, versatile construction grips hard so you can focus on the line instead of scrubbing so much speed.

The tubeless-ready Aggressor features a durable 60 TPI casing along with Maxxis' EXO sidewall protection to ward off flats. The knobby tread design features hard edges and reinforced side knobs to grip through loose, unpredictable stretches of trail and keep you from washing out on tight corners. Take the Aggressors on smooth hardpack and they'll do just fine, but you'll really see them shine on the loosest, least consistent sections of trail.

  • A rugged 29er tire for that shines in loose conditions
  • Dual compound with rugged tread pattern
  • EXO sidewall protection increases durability

Great front/rear all-around combo.

I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
5' 11"

I’ve ridden these for a season (~750 miles) on a variety of terrains including loamy single track, hardpack, rock and sandstone/slab, loose and rocky, and chunky, loose flint. These have been one of the best all-around tires I’ve ever used. If you ride any single style of terrain most of your outings, you can likely get a better tire combo to serve a specific use. If you’re like me and travel regionally to ride, consider these. I use them on a 130mm travel f/r trail bike and the 2.5” size adds a touch of cushion to chattery trails without being wildly speed-resistant. Not the fastest or grippiest tire but great for general trail use. I’ve never had a bad puncture, flat, or blowout either although that’s probably some luck. Overall, consider these if you mostly ride general terrain and need something for varying conditions. The only poor performance I had from these was in muddy conditions. 8.5/10.

Great tire - consistent sidewall blowout

I've put it through the wringer

I love everything about this tire except how easily it has been to blow a side wall. Not sure what it is or why its happening consistently as I havent experienced that on previous Maxxis. Riding 3-4 days per week in Park City versus hard desert riding.
