Road Cleat Set

If you've got Mavic's latest-generation road pedals, you'll eventually need a set of replacement cleats. Those cleats are the Mavic DuraCleats. They come two to a set here, with all the necessary mounting hardware.

Like most modern cleats, these are designed knowing you're going to do at least some walking in your stiff-soled cycling shoes. As a result, the stiff, slippery plastic has nice little rubber tabs on the corners where the cleat will touch the ground. They add a lot of safety and some durability.

There are two flavors of DuraCleat. The "standard" version, the one that comes with Mavic pedals, has seven degrees of float and has grey tabs on the cleat ends. There is a second version, one that has 0-degrees of float (but perceptible wiggle room), has red tabs on the cleat ends. Included with the Mavic Road cleat set is hardware. A pair of cleats weighs 48g.
