Keo Blade Carbon Ti Ceramic Pedals

For those looking for every advantage in efficiency and performance, the Look Keo Blade Carbon Ti Ceramic Pedals build upon decades of innovation at Look for a race-ready pedal. The carbon fiber body reduces weight and enhances stiffness for better power transfer. A titanium spindle further reduces weight and increases the strength at this pivotal point. Ceramic bearings, individually selected to meet quality standards, reduce friction with their perfect shaping and resist corrosion for years of smooth pedaling. Like the rest of the Blade series pedals, this model uses the carbon blade lever system for cleat retention, which is lighter and more predictable than a metal spring.
  • Look's pinnacle pedal for road racing perforamnce
  • Carbon fiber platform and titanium spindle reduce weight and increase stiffness
  • Carbon blade cleat retention can be set to either 12Nm or 16Nm
  • Ceramic bearings for smoother operation and improved longevity

I've put it through the wringer

I have the both the new ceramic Ti and the previous steel bearing with Ti spindle. I loves these pedals. I have had zero issues and they have a wide stable platform. I actually use the ceramic Ti version on my gravel bike if that says anything, Enjoy.

These are very nice-looking and lightweight pedals, but they are prone to clicking on the upstroke. I wish I knew before purchasing, but this is a fairly common complaint. The best solution I have found is to apply on cleat contact points beeswax dissolved in xylene. It lasts a couple of rides and then click, click, click...it's back! I have switched to Assioma Look-compatible power pedals and have had no problems. Also, I have found that these Look pedals fairly hard to clip into because they don't flop into a vertical position right away. A little bit more weight (sacrilege!) on the back would do wonders for overall usability.

Noise problems can be solved by a Look spacer between the cleat and shoe. The only place I have found them is mybikeshop.com

What an incredible upgrade from my old set of Keo Blade Ti pedals. Simply put: Keo Blade Ti Ceramic > Keo Blade Ti pedals hands down. Don't get me wrong. The prior set (Ti only) are NOT bad pedals. However, Keo Blade Ti Ceramic pedals are flat out better - the smoothness is striking. It brings a smile to my face on every ride they are so smooth.
