When you find yourself sitting trailside, and ground conditions are those that retain tread marks, you're bound to spot a Nevegal that left its signature. That popularity is because Kenda's Nevegal, like this lightweight 26in DTC model, are favored for its acute balance of traction and speed.

Part of the balance is due to the DTC rubber compound and part iconic tread pattern. DTC stands for dual tread compound and features Stick-E (50a) rubber on the side and 60a durometer rubber along the center for better wear. To offset the loss of traction from a harder rubber compound along the tire's center, Kenda uses ramped knobs that bite, while permitting efficient rolling properties.

The side knobs are not ramped, but plentiful and well spaced to grip confidently at extreme lean angles. The rubber is supported by a 120tpi casing to keep weight low and ride quality extra smooth. The Kenda Nevegal DTC 26in Tire uses a folding, Kevlar bead and comes in a 2.35in width.

Are these tubeless ready?

Best MTB Tires 26"

These are by far the best 26" MTB tires I've purchased in 8+ years. I'm buying another set!!!

    Great tire

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Nevegals have been around a long time, and for a good reason. They grip very well and are pretty tacky, even the dual tread compound which is the harder rubber compound. They aren't super fast rolling, but you can make up for that with sheer confidence in cornering and braking. I have a short list of tires and this one is on there. I put them on my wife's bike and she loves them.

    Kenda Nevegal DTC Tire

I have these on my single speed. Super tacky tire a little heavy not for racing but seem to be lasting with little wear.

      The cool tacky

I have some of these on my DH bike for the front. Not a super high volume tire but a great one nonetheless! Grabs a hold of anything but the loosest of terrain and has a fairly decent life for the tackiness of the rubber.

      Hard to beat

I have now owned this tire in a few different variations. Currently I have this Dual Compound in a 27.5 as my front and rear tire. Though I would prefer the full Stick E compound for the front tire this Dual Compound works very well. The side lugs are extremely sticky and inspire confidence while laying into a turn. The Dual Compound is the preferred compound for a rear tire as it has a more durable compound in the center which decreases roll resistance and improves longevity. Looking for a killer tire to do it all with, look no futher!
