The Kali Avita Carbon XC Helmet is loaded with features—but it isn't bogged down with a bunch of hype. The Avita has numerous safety perks, like extended rear coverage for the one time you get carried away with a wheelie and flip over backwards. A breakaway visor ensures it doesn't become a permanent facial feature in the not-so-rare-event that you plow face-first into the overgrown tree roots on the side of the trail. The Avita Carbon is also built with an extra-strong carbon, fiberglass, and polycarbonate shell so when you surprise your friends with a spectacular head-bouncing crash, the Avita most likely won't survive, but you will.
