Great device with very promising future

I've used it several times

This unit exceeded all the expectations i had and it keeps getting better with the bi-weekly software updates. The device itself is lightyears ahead of garmin and wahoo devices, software has some catching up to do but the hammerhead folks seem to be working with a mission to keep improving. First impressions are checking all the boxes with some concerns over battery life and maybe operating the screen in the rain. -Fields are much more vibrant and useful, -Routing, maps and screen are best in class. -Very user friendly and easy to change setting &options, the drawer feature is very useful and just makes sense. -Beeper can be a bit louder -dark screen isn’t the best in bright conditions and white screen drains more battery -post ride view needs a serious re-design to have more useful information. It doesn’t even list laps, but they show up on strava Again, the main selling point here is what this device can be, the hardware is very future proof and the hammerhead folks are rolling serious updates every two weeks, very promising

Great for Road, not so much Off Road

I've put it through the wringer
True to size

I've used Karoo 2 for five months now. It has may great features, especially the screen. However, it is heavily weighted towards road riding. It's off-road maps don't include contours/topography and the trail names are either non-existent (until you zoom all the way in) or very small and difficult to read (again, they're only seen in full zoom and even then, the text is small and discontinuously shown along the trail).

Best on the Market

I've put it through the wringer

I purchased the Karoo 2 last year. It is nice to see that Completive Cyclist has it. They are always updating this beautiful piece of art. The Karoo 2 is hands down the best and giving Garmin & Yahoo a run for their money. Does hesitate and just get you one, I promise you will not be dissatisfied

Great GPS

I've put it through the wringer
True to size

I've owned a Karoo and now the Karoo2. Love the big clear screen. GPS for exploring is better than on my Garmin. One thing I do miss, the Garmin does a much better job with live tracking so people can see where you are. However, riding ad-hoc routes and making changes to your route on Karoo is much simpler.
