Double up where you need it most.

On unusually cold mornings, pull the Gore Bike Wear Women's Base Layer WindStopper Sleeveless Singlet on under your jersey to protect your core from the chill. This practical top features a polyester fabric with a laminated WindStopper membrane along the front, over the shoulders, and down the back; stretch panels on the side mean your mobility won't be compromised. For all the protection it offers, the singlet is still thin and soft; flatlock seams mean you won't get chafed, either.

Gorgeous and functional

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

OK, I have not worn this biking yet (it's August) but I did try it on and examine it carefully (smile). The fit is spot-on: high neck without cutting off air, perfectly sized armholes (often too tight or conversely, gaping), a little wiggle room in the torso but oh, so sexy (somehow gives a boyish figure like mine subtle curves). The quality and apparent functionality are top-notch - smart placing of windstopping material, etc. This is my first Gore item - I'll be checking out more! BTW, I was not asked to give info about sizing for this review, but I did size up for this one. I like form-fitting but not suffocating base layers (and have a very broad chest but small "girls", and a long lean torso).

Perfect for skiing

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: L

I bought this for skiing--both resort and backcountry. I was pretty psyched to find a windstopper singlet as my comfort is directly related to the warmth of my core without wearing tons of layers. Although I've only skied with it on two 20 deg days, I am really happy with how warm it kept me. I was warm on the chair lift rides up with a cold wind blowing directly at me and yet not too warm skiing down. I was able to wear it, a capilene long sleeve shirt, a light fleece and my shell. This singlet rocks. I was concerned when I read that it ran small. I have a 38" bust and bought a L. It fits great across the bust and even a bit loose down to the waist. I might have been able to wear a M but the L is OK. I even skied without a bra one day and the girls were warm! I highly recommend this layer for those who want warmth without bulk.

Great Base layer

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

I bought it for my girlfriend. Here is what she told me...The baselayer from Gore was everything I expected from a good company. I use it indoors while on my trainer and outdoors now as a first layer to keep dry and warm. It does both. Size was as expected fitting tight as it should.

Warm, functional, comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

On chilly rides, I'm most comfortable if my core, fingers and toes are warm, and this windproof undershirt is a perfect layering piece. However, getting the layers right can be tricky: too much and you overheat; too little and you freeze! Under a softshell jacket, this undershirt is overkill for me, but it's perfect under a jersey with a thermal vest on top in temps down into the upper 30s F. The windproof panel on this shirt is on the front so heat can dump out the back when you work up a sweat, and I've never felt clammy wearing this layer. It launders easily (I machine-wash it on cold and then hang dry) and I am looking forward to seeing how it performs on Nordic ski and fatbike outings when the snow flies. For my 36B chest/32 waist I bought a Large and it's nicely fitted and tucks into my bibs smoothly. If you prefer a looser fit for your base-layers, size up. I bought the white/gray color but depending how much I use it this winter, I may get the black one also. I definitely recommend this undershirt if you want to block the chill!

Works perfectly and it is comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Keeps the wind from chilling in front while breathing on the back. Just wore it on a ride with long climbs and downhills, Temperature ranged from 40deg F to 58deg F. Did not overheat climbing and kept the wind chill off descending. Only wish it didn't have that big GORE word right on the V of the neck. Makes me feel more like a billboard than I'd like.

This is amazing

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I wanted this for cold days and it is perfect. I have used it to run, taken it snowboarding on -6degree days and it stops all the wind. I stay so much warmer.
