Some like to attract attention with their personal stylings, and for them, there's the Blue Zebra. However, if you like to let your riding tell your tale, then the Five Ten Freerider Shoe in black/grey will do the trick. The understated colors will help you keep a low profile, that is, until you tailwhip over the big double at your local dirt jump spot and stick the pedals for a perfect landing.
Five Ten's Stealth Rubber was developed for rock climbing shoes. As such, it has excellent gription which makes it super easy to keep your feet on the pedals. Just think, no shinburger for dinner... again. It's also super durable. It had to be tough for climbing shoes to suffer the wear and tear from hard granite cliffs for days on end. The Freerider Shoes may just have a tougher job. They have to endure the prodding from the metal spikes on your pedals all day, but the Stealth Rubber can take it. Five Ten Stealth Rubber soles will outlast the gum rubber sole on a conventional skate shoe every time and stick better to your pedals all the while.
The Freerider Shoe has all the style that you want and the bomber sole that you need to land big tricks without blowing your feet. The grey panels on the upper are made of brushed nubuck leather. The toe box is reinforced to provide added protection if you lose it in mid-air. And one of the coolest details is the California license plate on the back of the heel.
The Five Ten Freerider Shoe is available in Black/Grey, Red/Black, Red/Grey, and Orange/Grey and comes in half sizes from 4 - 12 and whole sizes 13 and 14.
- Mountain biking shoes designed with tough grip and versatile comfort
- Nubuck leather uppers with reinforced toe box last through seasons
- Stealth Rubber soles grip pedal spikes and slick surfaces alike

What about people that have a size 13 shoe? I never see 13. 12 is always the biggest shoe in these shoes

I love these so much that I'm buying my second pair after wearing out the first pair. I've been riding these for 3-4 years now and the rubber on the sole is finally getting chewed up from the sharp spikes on my Spanky pedals. Very grippy and comfortable!

Am I clipped in? You surely would think so when you ride with these! Budget-friendly shoes with all the benefits of higher-end ones. Super comfortable mtb shoes with tons of grip to give you confidence in those rock garden sections.

After wearing a pair of Ride Concepts for about a year I decided to try some 5-10s and ordered these. They are much more comfortable to ride and walk in, more flex in a good way, and the Stealth sole provides excellent grip. I find they run ~1/2 size big, as do other Adidas shoes that I have, others feel they are true to size, so your mileage may vary. I wear a 10.5 in some brands but a 10 in these fits me perfect. Overall a great shoe!

Reading all the reviews all was a little disappointed when they arrived. Thought to myself how on earth can they be more tacky than my Van's. Rode with them and all I can say is WOW they are amazing, on climbs I would normally be more cautious with my Van's these seemed to almost let me power up more!

I purchased size 9.5 because majority of the reviews suggest it fits true to size. I ordered outside of the US. The right shoe fits well but the left shoe was a slightly uncomfortable just at the tip of my toe. I had to get the left shoe stretched a bit for that comfortable feeling. This is my first pair of flat pedal shoes that I’ve been using for just over a month now for trail riding and I absolutely love them! Very grippy and comfortable to walk in. I highly recommend. The shoe lace is a bit long but definitely not a deal breaker.

Great Shoes for Flats
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Can't say I've tried too many other flat pedal shoes, but I really like these. They are very grippy, and I haven't had any problems with sliding off the pedal. The toe area is nicely padded, which came in handy on a few pedal strikes. I find it helpful to tuck the laces underneath themselves when riding to avoid getting caught in the chainring.

always been good

I've bought several pair of five tens for family members using flats and always been great. The freerider is probably our favorite, they hold up well, and grip well, would recommend.

My Shimano GR7 were pretty much decent at best. The grip was ok but not stuck to the platform how my old FiveTen Impact were. I wanted something with the grip of the Impact but the fit and feel of the GR7. Enter the skate shoe with climbing rubber that is the Freerider. Couldn't be happier. Grip amazingly well and fit as they should. Only complaint is the lack of a lace securing system.

I’m very happy with the shoes. They grip Shimano Saint flat pedals great. I had to send my first pair back and go up a 1/2 size.

Good Flat Shoe
Replace old vans that I was using as my bike shoe with these. They are much sturdier and stuffed which I can notice when pedaling hard. Worth it if you bike a decent amount.

I purchased these based on the reviews. The reviews made the shoes sound great. I've worn them for several workouts and to be blunt, they hurt my feet. After about 6 or 7 miles the balls of my feet and my toes start tingling. By the time I've finished 14 miles the balls of my feet are almost numb. The reviews made them sound so good I though maybe they just needed to be broken in. Some of the reviews talk about how comfy they are. Mine feel like I'm walking on a board. There doesn't seem to be any cushion in them at all. I was hoping they would have some cushion so I could wear them even when I wasn't biking like mentioned in some of the reviews. Maybe I need a half size larger but they seem to fit correctly. Whatever the cause I'll try and return mine, if for no other reason than they don't seem to have any cushion in them at all.

Amazing Shoes for MTB

Super sticky on a flat/platform pedal. It is startling how grippy they are. Using with Crank Brothers Stamp 2 and proving to be the perfect setup for me.

These guys know how to make a mtb shoe!
Very impressed with the quality construction, reinforced seams, extremely sticky sole and overall comfort and support. Did I leave anything out? These shoes are just awesome! They're a little overbuilt for everyday wear (feels like a skate shoe on steroids) but I like them so much I usually end up wearing them for a lot more than just riding.

Use this with Deity Bladerunners and the grip is amazing!!! The sole is very stiff and even when only one section of the shoe is touching another section of the pedal, it feels as if you were on solid ground. Plus the sole is very grippy without dragging, really helped today when having to climb some boulders. Also ordered some for my friend, they’re so comfortable he wears them to work!!! One Year update: We go out to the hills 2 or 3 times a week, occasionally I give em a few pats to dust them off and they still look new. I hike a lot in them and no signs of wear. They are still my favorite shoes and the ones I wear most often, even to go to the store.

Love these shoes! They are super comfortable and super durable. I use these shoes for both enduro/singletrack riding and also downhill and they are perfect for both, they have just the right amount of padding that downhill I feel protected and when peddling singletrack there not hot at all. Size wise they fit me a bit big but I’m always in between a 8.5 and 9.0 ( I ordered a 9) I probably will get a 8.5 when I get my next pair! Overall great shoe highly recommend them !
