EastonXD Driver
Item # EAS0332
The right tool for the job.
All-Mountain and trail riders rejoiced when SRAM released its XX1 component group. Why? Because it provides an extended gear range, while also shedding the weight and complexity of a front derailleur. However, fitting XX1 requires SRAM's XD spec freehub. That's why Easton offers the XX1 Driver. So, you don't have to sacrifice the Easton wheels that you've come to trust in the pursuit of a more streamlined setup.
XX1 users already know that mounting an XX1 cassette to a wheel requires an XD style freehub body. However, this is a different beast altogether when compared to a standard 9- or 10- speed SRAM/Shimano freehub body. So, if you're looking to run an 11-speed XX1 cassette on your Easton wheels, you'll need this freehub body. The Easton XD Driver fits Easton's M1-121, M1-221, M1-321, and M1-322 hubs. So, if you have a late-model Easton mountain wheelset, you're likely going to be covered. But, please check the part number printed on your hub to confirm that the XD Driver will fit.
The SRAM XX1 XD Driver is available in one size and in the color Black.
- XX1 11-speed-compatible hub
- Compatible with Easton’s M1-121, M1-221, M1-321, and M1-322 hubs

Not a universal Easton XD driver
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Does not work on Easton EA70 SL Disc Wheelsets with X5 hubs sold by CC. For the X5 hubs, after calling Easton found the correct SRAM XD freehub body is Easton 11-Speed XD Driver Body for X5 hubs part number #8022454, which unfortunately Competitive does not sell, so had to return this and buy the one for X5 hubs elsewhere.

You'll need this guy to run a SRAM 1x drivetrain. Be sure to get in touch with a gearhead if you have any questions. jdraper@backcountry.com

I bought this for the easton ea70 xct wheelset to run on X01 drivetrain. It has held up with no issues at all over the last 2 months of abuse.

I am trying to convert my 2011 Easton Ea70 29" wheel hub to use the XX1 setup on the bike. I am not certain if the current hub I have is compatible with the XD driver body. Where is the model noted on the hub usually?? Thanks!

The M1-120 has a different shell from the M1-121 and thus, the bearing upgrade kit and the XD driver cassette body designed will not be able to fit onto it. They are designed for M1-121, -221 and any hub ending with ?1?. The only way is to send the wheels back to Easton and they'll change the hub from M-120 to M-121 in order the XD driver to fit

you gave it a two star review after you bought a part which based on the description, clearly does not support your application. That is so weak... who is at fault, you or them? really... smh. Some peoples kids. If I was you i would not have even admitted to that.
