  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a perfect size fanny pack and hits the mark. Nicely shaped, roomy with 2 compartments, sturdy adjustable straps, can fit quite a few items actually, even when full it doesn't feel like carrying a giant fanny pack (if you feel self conscious about that). Dakine quality is definitely there

sweeeeet pack!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This pack is rad, comes in some great patterns and has the best quality coming from Dakine! I love the fanny, so I bought this as a gift for a friend and they love it! Use it at festivals, chill hikes, and of course amusement parks. (gotta rock it at Disney) haha get yourself one now!

Solves my small pocket dilemma.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this because I was sick of having no pockets, or only pockets that fit a Chapstick, to hold items I need with me at work. This allows me to be mobile, without the hindrance of purse straps.

The front pocket is softly lined, and ideal for my glasses. The main pocket I can stash my phone, keys, clip wallet, and a snack bar.

I ordered the zanzibar style, and love the unique print!

Cycling / Festival Fanny

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Urban cycling and festival-going, this hip pack (aka Fanny pack) is low profile and easily fits wallet, phone, chapstick, glow sticks, face wipes, tissues, and whatever else you need for a good time.

Terrific pack

I am very impressed! This pack has two pockets. 1 for my sunglasses and the other one for my wallet and lip balm! And I think the design in the print looks better in person.

    perfect travel purse

Great small fanny pack for any adventure. It will easily hold my wallet, keys, phone and a few other key items. I prefer to travel with a fanny than any other purse and this one is one of my favorites.

I Am The Fanny Pack Dork.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

And I don't mind admitting it. When the thought first crossed my mind that I needed something to stash my phone and keys and necessities in during my runs, I realized a fanny pack would be inevitable and I was in for a wave of 'I told you so's' from my dad, who is the original Fanny Pack Dork.

That being said, if you have to carry one, it should at least look as cool as it can, which this one does! It's super functional, holds just enough, and isn't so bulky that I feel like I'm wearing a bustle. Good job Dakine!

what is the measurement of belt at SMALLEST?

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've been searching for a "cool" fanny pack all year. This is a true winner!!! Not only is it super stylish (I got the Kamali), but it's also really functional. The outer pocket is lined in a felt material, so it's perfect for phones. The large inner pocket has a clip for keys, an inside small zipper perfect for cash/CC, etc., and there is still adequate room left for a small snack and a mini water bottle. I'm so happy I got this product, it also seems very well made.

      Hip Pack

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great product! Excellent description! The material is very durable and fits all the essentials: phone (Galaxy Note), small wallet, snacks!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

LOVE this fanny! I despise carrying a purse, and this has been a great alternative. It's just big enough to fit the essentials: phone, wallet, keys, a snack. I got it to wear for longboarding, but it works great for all occasions. My only complaint is that the waist belt tends to loosen quite easily while longboarding. It's an easy fix, but can be irritating at times. All in all, a great product and I'd highly recommend it!

I have a Dakine Hydration plastic bag in...

I have a Dakine Hydration plastic bag in a black cover which is about 10 years old. It rides on top of my regular pack. I have lost 2 essential parts and wish to replace them 1) the insulated hose covering and 2) more importantley the green and yellow bite nipple which often fell off. I know this is earlier model and does not have shut off valve. It was great because it was gravity flow and did not require sucking to get water any time. Do you have any spares. Thanks I like hip pack may get one for my wife.

      bomb fanny pack

loooove it. I wear it hiking and carry a small water bottle and some snacks. It's super comfortable and looks sweet.

        "Hip" Dakine Hip Pack

I needed an updated hip pack (formerly called "fanny pack") to put all of my dog walking paraphernalia in. We walk several miles most days, so I need doggie bags, cell phone, keys, i-Pod and, sometimes, a little camera. This pack is PERFECT. The size is just right; not too big not too small. It's also very comfortable and adjusts easily.

          Is this product waterproof??

          Is this product waterproof??

No, it's not waterproof. You'd probably be fine in a drizzle, but I'd expect wet coontents in a downpour.
