Description

Fit for a king.

Usually, World Championship stripes are earned, but then again most of us have real jobs. So while these bibs might not give you Peter Sagan's 1400-watt sprints or allow you to possess the cat-like reflexes that keep him on two wheels that would put most of the peloton on the pavement, you can wear the same clothing that at least makes you feel like a champion. Craft's BORA Hansgrohe Replica Bib Short is the perfect compliment to the jersey to create the kit.

Starting with the fabric, Craft bestows these bibs with a material that offers excellent compression with its optimized 4-way elasticity. This significantly reduces muscle oscillations which prevents premature fatigue and aids in quicker recovery. At the same time, it transfers moisture and offers an ergonomic cut. These features all conspire to create bibs that fit perfectly while in the riding position and keeps you cool and comfortable. At the leg openings, wide, soft elastic leg endings with silicone print keep the hem in place without cutting off circulation or adding excessive pressure. The bib's construction offers great support and is made of mesh fabric for maximum breathability. That mesh material extends up to the suspenders where the wide bands prevent digging into your shoulders and torso. Other thoughtful details include ergonomically placed seams that allow for excellent movement while reducing friction and irritation. Lastly, the Infinity C2 chamois in multi-density and thickness foam offers all-day comfort that moves with you throughout the pedal stroke.

Ok, but not great

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had two pairs of these and have used them 2-4x/wk all winter on the trainer. Initially they were great, snug and supportive, but after one winter's use, the elastic hem has lost most of its grip and they tend to ride up my thighs. The chamois has also become pretty compressed and uncomfortable. As another reviewer noted, for $60 or so, they're a good deal. I would be disappointed if I paid $150 for them. The shoulder straps tend to roll up and cut into my shoulders as well. FWIW I'm 6 foot, 165lb and have used a size large.

Fine at $60; not worth it at $150

I bought these for trainer use - at $60. My other trainer shorts were done, so these on sale looked good.

Out of the box they looked/felt thin with a thin pad - for $150. For $60 they seemed fine. On my 75 session they were totally fine. Didn't notice them at all. They aren't particularly snug around the stomach area, which is good unless you have a big belly to hold in.

I'm 5'11" - 6' (depending on hamstring tightness!) and the L was fine. I'm more leg than torso and the straps felt snug initially but loosened/stretched just enough by 20 mins in.

So, on sale these are great for rides of an hour or two outside (I'm guessing) and fine for trainer work. Not sure I'd do "all day" rides in these. For $150 I'd buy bib shorts from other brands in a heartbeat....particularly when THOSE are on sale. These just aren't $150 bibs.

Are these shorts BLACK as shown in the picture or WHITE is indicated in the options?

Craft was surprisingly an A quality bib short. It is true to size and materials and craftsmanship is a pleasure to wear. But definitely a Fall bib short since it has high torso line that might be a bit warm for summer rides. I am satisfied.
