Description

Eden Short

Hitting the trail doesn't mean you need to kit up in race-ready spandex, or endurofest baggies. Sometimes you just want to go with a casual pair of shorts that can handle the trail, but look just as good at the weekly summer concert series. Club Ride's designers are up for the task at hand, with a knack for nailing gear that's just as at home on the trail as at backyard barbecues, and we think they hit the ball out of the park with the Women's Eden Shorts. These casual styled shorts wick away sweat on the trail, and transition to regular life, so you can spend less time changing, and more time on the dirt.

While you're riding, the Eden's lightweight, breathable fabric moves with you in the saddle, drying quickly after sweaty rides so you can jump straight to what's next in your day. It also has a DWR treatment, helping you stay dry from external moisture, too. Fit details like adjustable leg openings, a seamless gusseted crotch, and an adjustable waist band keep the shorts functional on and off the trail while a wealth of pockets give you plenty of space to carry ride nutrition and other essentials. Club Ride simplifies things further by including its DamselCham chamois, which features an 8mm dual-density gel and memory foam chamois in a breathable mesh boy short liner to keep you comfortable over rock-lined and root-latticed singletrack.

  • Tempting shorts that transition from trail to life
  • Tech fabrics wick away sweat and dry quickly
  • Repel water in light showers with DWR treatment
  • Adjustable waist lets you skip the belt to dial in fit
  • DamselCham chamois cushions your sit bones on rough trails
  • Casual styling passes on trail or at the beergarden

    awesome shorts TERRIBLE chamois!

    returned :(

    Super Bummed on the Chamois

These are some of the best fitting and well thought out shorts I’ve tried on. They have a higher waist band along the back and the cut along the bottom of your legs is rad, they’re higher in front and cut longer in the back. BUT, the chamois is awful. It’s cut like a pair of briefs underwear, so you have a bunch of material on the inside of your leg where you would meet the edge of the seat. It’s really uncomfortable just walking in them, I can’t imagine trying to grind up a hill in them. That’s gonna be some MAJOR chafing. I really wanted to keep them and just wear them with my Pearl chamois but at $100 I couldn’t justify just using half of my purchase. If they sold these as just shorts without the chamois I’d buy every color. If they change the chamois, I’ll definitely buy a pair. But I don’t recommend unless you find them on sale or have money to burn for just the shorts.

    Not for me

    Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

The chamonix is like mesh underwear with a pad -- kind of strange. I didn't wear them riding--when I put them on I thought they looked weird on me. The person's review with the picture looks cute on her. I am 5'8" 150 lbs and have a small waist and larger thighs and the length on the leg looked like it needed to be shorter or longer. Plus it has a velcro adjustment in the waistband and I am not a fan of velcro.

Dig the Fit - Chamois Not Great

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Some of my fav shorts to mountain bike in. I'm 5'4, 130 lbs and have short legs, so most shorts tend to be too long and cause me to over heat. I got the size small and I dig the fit - I'm smaller in the waist so I do have to velcro the sides. The chamois just aren't my jam. Not enough padding so I just yanked 'em out and replaced them with a different pair.

    Some

    Thanks for your review Shae!

A lot of my female cyclists are petite height and want some MTB shorts not so long. They go over the knee and too hot and catches on branches when riding.

    Chamois Waaaaaay Too Narrow

The seam in the chamois hits exactly at the edge of width of most mountain bike saddles... ouch! Also, the size difference between medium and large is almost comical. I have skier/cyclist/lifter legs and a booty I call “The Power Plant,” but my waist is small. The Velcro adjustments on the sides of the outer shorts make the garment look kind of silly when adjusted to take a small waist into account. Not a well-designed women’s product. I really want to love these but will be looking for a different liner setup.

Bought these for my wife and she wears them all the time! Quality construction and good fit.

    Comfortable chamois

    Familiarity:
    I've used it several times

The chamois is comfortable and barely noticeable through the shorts. These are great for XC or riding around town. Not really long enough for downhill or enduro style riding as there will be a gap between your shorts and knee pads. The material is very stretchy and breathable. I'm a big fan of the zippered pocket on the left. Perfect for an iPhone and it sits low enough that it doesn't get in your way. while pedaling. I usually wear size 8 jeans and the mediums fit great.

Not for women with big legs.

    Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Love the idea of these shorts, but I think they will fit best on someone with smaller legs. I'm 5'9", 160 lbs and was pretty uncomfortable in the size M, but the size L was WAY too big. I have long legs and felt like these shorts were quite short for MTB use. I also didn't love the liner because it is cut more like a pair of briefs -- I didn't feel like I would get the same kind of protection because of it.

    soft and subtle!

    Familiarity:
    I've used it several times

Hate wearing bike shorts cause it makes you look like you are wearing a diaper? yeah same. With these shorts you can at least look semi normal! they are really soft and breathable. the liner that comes with them are cut higher. more like a boy short fit rather than the standard short style. Makes it feel a bit less invasive and constricting which is nice!
