Why We Like The Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS Carbon Wheel Exclusive Road Bike
Riding as fast as we can for as long as we can is usually the goal, but without a bike like the Cervelo Caledonia Rival AXS Carbon Wheel Exclusive Road Bike, staying at our goal pace can be challenging. This 12-speed machine, built with Cervelo All-Carbon, is a lightweight, durable, and versatile bike ready for any adventure, whether on or off-road, thanks to its relaxed yet aerodynamic geometry.
This Caledonia is spec'd with the SRAM Rival AXS groupset, delivering smooth and reliable electronic shifting to keep us riding without distraction. The 46/33T chainrings and 10-36T cassette ensure we have the proper gearing for any climb, descent, or off-road adventure that comes our way. This bike is ready to roll with the Carbon Zipp 303s wheels and Pirelli P Zero Race SL Tubeless Tires, which use wider rims to allow for lower tire pressure to enhance cornering, handling, and our overall trust.

Smooth and comfortable

First impression......."this bike is fast and smooth but sluggish on the climbs". Frankly, I was feeling disappointed after my first ride because it didn't feel as light and responsive while climbing compared to my old sub 15 pound rim brake bike (this build comes in around 18 lbs, which again left me feeling disappointed initially). However, the more I ride this bike the more I love it! It's comfortable and the more relaxed geometry feels comfortable for long rides. The Zipp wheels feel fast and I haven't had any problems with the "deeper" rim in cross winds and the AXS Rival groupset has been crisp and reliable. It was nice to purchase this as an "exclusive build", which allowed me to work with a gear head to customize the build (thanks for the help Tamara!). I typically ride a size 52cm road bike but followed Cervelo's size guide and ended up on a 54cm and the fit feels great (I did put on a shorter stem). Ride on!
