If your hometown is anything like ours, you spend at least four months out of the year riding in sub- or near-freezing temperatures. And while this makes the indoor trainer rather enticing, the well prepared are able to ride outdoors all winter. How? With pieces like the Capo ISO Neoprene Booties. These covers are the necessary first step in keeping your extremities protected from frostbite, and this is achievable through their wind- and water-resistance.
To achieve the goal of creating an effective barrier against wind, water, and cold, Capo made the ISO booties from the breathable neoprene material. The choice for this was obvious given the intended riding conditions. You'll find neoprene in everything from ski boots to wet suits, and the reason is that the material actually gets warmer when the exterior is wet. However, with the booties' 2mm thick construction, you don't have to worry about water or wind infiltrating the covers. And for added warmth, the covers also feature a micro fleece lined interior. This will not only increase the level of insulation, but it will also wick moisture away from the skin when your feet get nice and toasty.
For fit, Capo relied on its tried-and-true Block System for the entry/exit point. This system reinforces the rear zipper and heel cup by strengthening the seams that they are connected to. On top of that, the ISO follows a minimally seamed design that flows with the natural contours of your foot.
The Capo ISO Neoprene Booties are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. Please note that Capo recommends wearing these booties between the temperatures of 35 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, these covers are designed for use with traditional three-hole road cleat systems.
