Description

Modern take on road biking helmets.

You're more concerned about weight, style, and safety than aerodynamics. So, switch from that goofy-looking road bike helmet to the skate-inspired Bern Fl-1 Helmet. Designed for commuting to work, the F1-1 has a silhouette that's more similar to a skate or snow helmet for an urban look, but it's still super lightweight and loaded with airflow-enhancing vents—which means you can take it on all-day summer rides in the valley.

An In-Mold construction fuses a thin, yet ultra-tough layer of polycarbonate to impact-absorbing EPS foam for reliable protection that won't weight you down. The moisture-wicking liner keeps the sweat out of your eyes, and nineteen vents help you stay cool when you're slogging up hills in the heat. The F1-1 also sports a Boa 360 Fit system, so you can quickly and easily dial in the perfect fit every time you ride.

  • Best suited for urban biking

Hats Off To Bern FL-1 Helmet

I bought this helmet size S - I'd say that I'm a S-M head-case, with lots of room for improvement - in no small measure, due to price point and the look of quality construction, so a more experienced bike consumer may offer more functional consumables, but I can tell you after strapping her on at the get-go, and only using her only 5-6 times, so far, boy howdy does she please me, no end.

She fits like a glove to a digited head, sallies right up there like she was made for the moment. She appears, by all accounts, to be uber-quality constructed, with a Jena se qua like no others. I didn't want the molded in-motion look, and I didn't get it; I didn't want the hard case bowl, and I didn't get it; I wanted something along these lines, and I have no regret about getting it.

I imagine her forehead concentration lines could be a tweak higher, or her brow a twerk lower, than what you may be more familiar with; And, further imagine that if you have a problem with that, it may be because the helmet has designs on being more serious about the job spectrum, than the helmeted.

A few words of caution: Always look both ways, twice, before crossing the road; And take care of each other,

picked one up last winter and rode with it exclusivly this past season. donated my bell for the less fortunate. have had difficulty in the past finding a lid that fit. you forget your wearing it as soon as you start riding. it also accommodated a baca or cap( if you want a brim since there is no visor).

    Bern FL-1 Helmet

New design is a big upgrade in fit and ventilation over the previous brim versions I have owned. Lots of vents for excellent airflow and lightweight. Not as durable as their 'older' style helmets, but worth it for comfort while riding.

      Perfect Fit

I was able to try these helmets on at the annual Sea Otter Classic in Monterey this past April. At the time they did not know when they were going to roll out the Bern FL-1 road helmet. I decided to wait and finally was able to buy one a couple weeks ago. What I liked about the Bern FL-1 was the fit, comfortable, simple boa adjustment and the price. It vents well and as I said very comfortable. So far I've had well over a dozen rides with the FL-1 and so far so good. It's an all around great helmet.
