For do-it-all riders who don't like lugging around multiple lids, the Bell Super 2R Helmet is here. It's a relatively light, breathable, tough full-face that morphs into a half-shell if and when you need it to, making it ready for a huge variety of rides, and riders.
The Super 2R's In-Mold polycarbonate shell is not only stronger and lighter than most on the market, it's far lighter than most, thanks to copious ventilation that serves to shave grams as much as promote airflow. The four Overbrow vents up front help enormously in this regard, too, keeping the wind moving over your dome seamlessly and consistently so you don't overheat.
As we said, Bell innovation is proudly showcased in the Super 2R, a helmet clearly ready for the modern age. Namely, it's got a break-away camera mount, so neither your camera nor your helmet get busted up in a crash, and the GoggleGuide adjustable visor's screws are the break-away type, as well, meaning all is not lost if you bail. The Super 2's big party trick, though, is that its 2R chin bar is detachable, transforming this full-facer into an open-air half-shell when you want it to be. Ride lifts one day, and set out on an all-mountain epic the next. Whatever you're up for, the Super 2R is down.
