Why We Built The Backcountry Slickrock Pant
Whether it’s wet, snowy, or just plain cold, we never miss a ride thanks to the Slickrock Pant. We crafted these trail pants with water-resistant fabrics for weather protection but kept them super lightweight so that we stay comfortable as the morning chill fades into afternoon heat. We updated the fit from the first iteration of Slickrock Pant to provide more room for knee pads, and the zippered vents on the side seams line up perfectly with the thigh pockets on our bib shorts for easier snack access.

Purchased the long version of shorts I've been wearing all summer, same size... but these are too small. Check your measurements Backcountry.

Nice fit, nice material, well thought out design. Pockets could use some improvement, but I’m not sure exactly how - They fit a phone, but place it kind of awkwardly. However I didn’t really notice this once I got moving, and I’ve got other pockets I can use for my phone. Going to buy a second pair.

Overall good, with some inconveniences

It's hard to find bike pants when you 6'4'' tall, so i'm glad i got them. A couple of things though feels as not very well designed: 1. Pockets openings are too small. Can not put my hand in it. 2. Side vents are too high, no mesh, with zipper direction upside down: even a small opening reveals your underwear.

Thin material feels breathable, while also giving me the feeling of protection and some more warmth than shorts. I’ve worn them in both 75 and 60 degree weather. They seem to be a touch bigger than I expected through the waist. Really love these pants.

I don't recommend sizing up

5"11, 180lbs with avg-skinny legs and normally wear a 32-33 pant. I purchased a M 2 years ago and it was a perfect fit. After reading reviews to size up I purchased a L and it's way too big. Cartoonishly too big....I can almost pull them up to my armpits. I'm hesitant to exchange for a M because the difference in size is so drastic. Shame because I really love my other pair.

Nice!

Much better than the pants they made first go round. Last year's version were kind of baggy in the thighs & this version is much slimmer. I think this year's buckle is also better. Pretty thin so may tear in a high speed crash but I've yet to find that limit. The only thing holding back from 5 stars is I wish there was 1-2 more zip pockets. I've been pairing this with the hoodie they made that comes with jersey style pockets to make up for it & that has been enough storage for my shorter rides (5-10 miles)

Skinny, but perfect

For my body type - chicken legs - these are perfect. I couldn't have asked for better design. They've thought of everything: grippy dots on the waist to keep them in place on the hips, lightweight but durable and breathable fabric that feels like it can take a hit, zipper calves to put on and off my socks and pads, zipper pocket, a great low profile buckle and waiste strap. I love these pants. I think the price point is spot on too. I ride these year round in 40 - 90 degree weather. Good for layering and breathable enough for hot days.

If you've bought a pair of slick rock pants in the past, order one size up in this pant. The details and quality are the same, but the fit through the thighs is much tighter and more slim fit. The orange color especially is nice.

I had a pair of the Slickrock pants from item listing BCCZ2PI , best bike pants ever, long enough for me at 6'3", breathable, roomy enough fit, belt style waist adjustment worked great. Tried these and they're quite different, way tighter in the thigh/ hip, buckle closure at waist that doesn't hold as well, inseam feels shorter too. If you're tall and want a roomier fit go for the BCCZ2PI model with the black BC goat logo. this listing here with the while goat logo probably fits better for shorter skinnier folks
