Skate and BMX-influenced helmets are not only stuffy due to lots of padding and minimal venting, the one-size-fits-all lids look awkward too. POC's Receptor Commuter may appear like a simple skate lid, but it's brimming with technology engineered to make a daily commute much safer, and stylish.
Its light EPS liner absorbs impacts like standard helmets, but it also features an anti-static treatment. This helps quell helmet hair when you arrive at your destination. The liner also wicks perspiration so you're not a sweaty mess when running errands or walking into the office.
The outer shell is a durable PC-covered ABS plastic that brushes off scuffs from handling at bike racks -- but, more importantly give the Receptor CSPC impact certification. POC made sure to add plenty of cooling vents, and to ease removal/installation, the Receptor Commuter is equipped with a magnetic-guided FIDLOCK buckle for simple one-hand operation
For comfort, POC doesn't count on varying-thickness pads, instead, an adjustable neck pad ensures a snug fit. Adding to that three sizes are available, which also allow for a low-profile helmet -- something other skate-style lids can't claim. The POC Receptor Commuter comes in XS/S, M/L, and XL/XXL sizes, with two color choices; Black or White.
