SL-70 Ergo Carbon Handlebar

Zipp provides some serious gram dropping, impressive vibration damping, and confidence inspiring strength in its SL-70 Ergo Carbon Handlebar. Comfort and speed are no longer mutually exclusive and the super comfortable flat top afforded by its carbon construction provides an excellent handhold while on the tops with the ability to mute high-frequency road noise that often contributes to premature fatigue.

Another feature we're really fond of on the SL-70 Ergo Carbon is its short 70mm reach and shallow 128mm drop. The shorter reach allows for better bike fit flexibility by utilizing stem lengths in achieving the ideal position, without sacrificing steering control as to when paired with longer reach bars. With the shallower variable radius drop, we found ourselves spending more time in the hooks, as it offered multiple, comfortable hand positions, and it's not so deep that it reminded us of those missed yoga sessions. Its shape also encourages a closer reach to the brake lever that’s ideal for riders with smaller hands or anyone who favors maximum control while braking. A comfortable 3-degree backsweep on the tops keep the wrist in a wonderfully neutral position making those extended climbs on pavement and gravel just a touch easier, and the 10-degree ramp angle provides a smooth transition from bar to hoods. Obviously since Zipp falls under the SRAM banner, ergos are optimized for those levers, however, it plays well with other brands' levers too. One final detail adding to its comfort is an integrated groove on the underside of the bar to route the brake and shifter housing so you barely feel them underneath the tape.

The other benefit of sharing technology with SRAM is this bar employs the same Exogram carbon molding technology you'll find in its uber-light and supremely stiff Red crankset, that’s also made its way on its SL Speed and SL Sprint stems ensuring that the SL-70 Ergo is easy on the scale but plenty capable and durable enough to handle the demands of cyclocross, gravel, and cobble racing.

Choose between a White or Black finish and in the sizes 40, 42, and 44 centimeters center-to-center.
