When it comes to mid-travel trail bikes, we favor the SB140 T4 TLR XX1 Eagle AXS 29in Carbon Wheels Mountain Bike from Yeti for its impressively capable design. From a suspension standpoint, 140mm of rear travel is powered by Yeti's renowned Switch Infinity link. The Switch Infinity system has been reinforced, providing even better rear wheel tracking through technical terrain for enhanced traction. 29in wheels front and rear help the bike get up and over rock ledges and square-edge impacts, plus they hold their momentum in the flats. The 65-degree head tube angle on this bike supplies straight-lining stability but holds onto some maneuverability for a reactive feel in tight terrain. The supportive nature of Switch Infinity's pedaling prowess pairs nicely with the steep 77.5-degree seat tube angle to provide an efficient, comfortable climbing position.

This T4 TLR build leaves little to be desired, starting things off with Yeti's top-spec TURQ carbon layup for an ultralight, reactive feel on the trail. The XX1 Eagle AXS drivetrain from SRAM provides lightweight components throughout along with electronic, instant shifting. The Fox Factory 36 GRIP2 fork on this build delivers 160mm of travel to take big, repetitive hits in stride with top-tier performance characteristics and adjustments. EXC 1511 carbon wheels from DT Swiss further cut down weight on this build, and we love their reactive ride feel for finding natural gaps. Thanks to Yeti's Lunch Ride treatment, this bike also sees powerful SRAM Code RSC brakes and a Maxxis Minion DHR II tire out back.
