Description

Why We Like The Freeland 2.0 Short

The Yeti Cycles Freeland 2.0 Shorts are designed to keep you moving, not just pedaling. From the gusseted crotch to the 2-way stretch construction, the Freeland allows you to shift in any direction without restriction. We like that this short is perfectly designed for post-work rides and lunchtime sessions. Glide patches ensure your pedal strokes won't be inhibited by friction while zippered thigh vents allow you to release heat when you're cranking hard. A webbing waist adjustment and a silicone grip strip ensure the shorts hold their position as you ride, and Yeti added a DWR treatment to help the shorts shed mud and stains.

  • Durable, lightweight short for trail or park laps
  • Tech webbing waist adjustment offers the perfect fit
  • Two open hand pockets and two zippered side pockets
  • Interior glide patches provide smooth pedaling
  • Easy to snap on and secure button closure
  • Seamless, gusseted crotch and a trail fit for comfort in the saddle

There are the best MTB shorts I’ve come across. Lightweight, fits well, good length, and stylish. The adjustable waist is a great feature too, and I’ve sized up for preferred fit. I’ve found the durability to be pretty good. I’ve washed them many times without issue.

Horrible, tore on 1st ride

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Initially I thought the shorts felt great. Literally on my first ride a hole tore through the shorts when my rear tire touched my butt on a slow, steep decent. I reached out to customer service and was told it is not damage that was covered under any type of warranty. I have had many other riding shorts that have taken much, much worse and held up better...especially for the price, pass on these. They should last a season, not a ride.

Make sure to order one size up. I've fit medium everything my entire life and basically never go wrong ordering and using medium. This medium is small, too small to cycle unfortunately, and even too small to walk comfortably. Order at least one size up, or just pick different shorts.
