Defiant.

Standing in proud defiance to strict categorization, the Yeti ASRc Mountain Bike Frame refuses to be boxed into a predetermined niche by blurring the lines between cross-country whip and line-crushing enduro rig. First and foremost, the ASRc excels as a blazing-fast rocketship for XC racing with its astoundingly lightweight 4.2 pound high modulus carbon frame and single-pivot suspension platform. Its feathery disposition equates to near-instantaneous acceleration and maximum uphill efficiency, leaving the competition eating dust as you crank up steep hillsides and burst across smooth sections of trail.

However, where things get interesting is when the grueling climb turns into a jarring descent littered with boulders, loose shale, and twisty roots. This is where other cross-country bikes would be begging for mercy, yet the ASRc shines across abusive terrain and white-knuckle descents. 29 inch wheels (for medium to extra-large frames) steamroll anything lying in its path, allowing you to ride over trail impediments with effortless composure. And because it's distinctly Yeti at heart, the ASRc proudly retains a gravity-friendly persona with its 69 degree head tube angle (for medium to extra-large frames). This more relaxed geometry won't chuck you over the bars like other cross-country bikes when the going gets steep, allowing you to confidently descend on only four inches of suspension where other riders are packing longer-travel bikes.

The ASRc eschews Yeti's applauded Switch Infinity for a significantly lighter single-pivot suspension. Not only does this design save a ton of weight for efficiency, but it also simplifies regular maintenance for riders and racers servicing their own bike. The exceptionally stiff high modulus carbon frame and swing arm complement the lightweight suspension platform, translating into uncompromising acceleration needed for tearing the competition a new one. And to get the most out of the single-pivot suspension, the FOX Float Factory DPS shock gives riders the ability to switch between Open, Medium, and Firm modes for maximizing uphill speed and downhill plushness with the simple flick of a lever.

Please note, the ASRc is a 29er in medium through extra-large sizes, with small and extra-small sizes benefiting from 27.5 inch wheels for increased stand-over height and nimbler handling. Also, smaller sizes are a touch slacker and shorter in the chainstays to keep geometry well-balanced for shorter riders.
