Must have for a roof rack
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This thing is a must have for any system. It attaches just fine to my Rhino Rack bars and really any bars with the way it ratchets down. Reduces wind noise alot as well.

This shield is great to limit the whistle sounds when driving at high speed! Adds for a sleek look too. I love it!

Blocking the bugs with style!
wasn't sure if I needed this for my setup but after paying so much for the roof rack I couldn't skimp on the bling/ aerodynamic efficiency.

Form and Function
I personally love the look of a fairing like this with roofracks, plus it's a must-have for getting rid of wind noise. If you're driving up the muddy/salty/nasty mountain roads, it helps keep some of the spray off of your gear so you don't have to shower with it when you get home.

Bye Bye Wind Noise

Yet again, another quality product made by Yakima. This winshiled is very easy to install. From start to finish it took me under 15 minutes. You can use the Yakima Rack Configurator linked to this page to ensure you're getting the right cross bars, towers, clips, and/ or wind fairings. This windshield is a lot more innovative that Yakima's previous "wind fairing" that had to fit specific to your type of cross bars. These have ratchet straps to secure to any type of cross bar on your vehicle. I will definitely be returning to Yakima for any future roof rack. Feel free to reach out directly to me with any and all questions. tbivins@backcountry.com or (801)204-4657
